Mad river is gettin legit

alright i know how bad this thread is gonna get bashed but i thought i'd make it anyways... i went up to mad river tonight.. everyone knows its been shitty weather and everything has been closed.. well the terrian park was open so you would think there would be like 3 rails and a box.. well they had a 40 foot jump belive it or not... all the hype was acutlly real and with shitty weahter like this and having a jump that size is impressive for a resort like madriver.. they want to have a jump line later on so hopefully mad river is gonna be legit.. maybe not a 80ft tow-in but its deffinitly a great step in the right direction
 
I'll believe when i see it....although i won't see it because i don't have any desire to go there ever again.
 
^^^^^^^^^dude not every resort can have such a good set up like perfect!! i give andy a whole lot of props for what he is doing at mad river! not only andy but the whole park staff!!! mad river has steeped up their game big time and for someone to say that they will never go back again even when they have changed management is crazy!! but thats all good
 
haha cody. come on, rich is fuckin skiin waist deep everyday, i wouldnt wanna step foot back in ohio.
 
rumor has it theres a rail jam and slopestyle on feb 10th... if its so "Legit" are the jumps going to be like a boader cross, or are they going to be real jumps with pop? r they rails going to have a gap on or is the jump ganna be higher then the rail or ride on?
 
So far this year they have all been gapped. The only hit they have been able to keep has had some pop to it. Not boarder cross style. I will be curious to see the park this wknd after a solid 4 days of snow making temps.
 
it sux that mad rivers reputation is based on sum d-bag named JD after his couple of horrible years as park manager... mrm has tons of potential and if they get there shit togeather it will be fun to have 2 nice parks near columbus... i'm going up this weekend and i'll take pics and post them
 
hey dude im not sure if theres a slopestyle on feb. 10 i think its just a rail jam. but if u win u get to go to windells for a week
 
Welllll it's because I'm in Utah for now, and the next time I go home they're be closed.... and when i'm home i'd rather rip my HOME ski area and ski with my friends that take a trip to a place that I don't really like. I'm not doubting it's sick for Mad River... i hope you guys have a killer season.
 
feb 3!!!! its a demo day/ contest being held by "aspen ski and board" free hot waxes!!! and yes a slopestyle contest for both of the types!!! the set up is supposed to be a hand rail followed by two jumpes "with pop" to some sort of stall box. I assure you that the set up will killer and everyone shoud come out even if you don't ski at mad river usually!!!
 
yea yea!! gotta be out there for that! next years demos too! prolly not everything, but there should be a good selection of skis, (lots of non twins, but definatly some)
 
mad river had a 30-35 ft jump today.. it was probley the best built jump ive ever hit there.. it acutally had a lip and it was real nice.. even the snowtrails kid would have approved
