It could just be the best snowboard video I have ever seen. The riding is sick, it has a good soundtrack, and it makes you wanna shred so badly. If you haven't seen it check it out for sure.
 
i had "come on eileen" stuck in my head for weeks after i saw the premier. it was cool cuz everyone started clapping together durring the slow part of the song where it builds up. epic
 
Good riding for sure, but the soundtrack was really bad in certain parts and some of the filming really was terrible (especially for a pro production). I mean, NOFX should never be used in a snowboard video, let alone a DCP part. Watch THAT if you want to see the vid of the year, that shit's AMAZING.
 
i went to the premiere of this in sac and i tried to be open minded about the whole thing. but honestly. it sucked. the film quality was poor, soundtrack average at best and honestly how many one footed drops and jumps and rails can you do. they just get old. what annoyed me was that they were snowed in in valle nevado and had no good footage of it in the movie. i was just really disappointed because i was expecting far better from such an established crew.
 
i see what you mean. the mack dawg movies like from ___ with love and chulksmack were terrible but i liked this one. i miss robot food though.

any of you seen any think thank movies (thunk, cue the birds, patchwork patterns) those are all good movies too.
 
the premiere in albany was sick.. last stop.. tons of handouts.. personally i like ZION I - RIDE.. that song rocks,,

well I dont know about own. I mean ski movies have some sick ass skiing. But on the puting together of the movie and the artistic part I do think that ski movies are laggin behind. Thats why I watch ride movies.
 
i donno if you are talkin about snowboarding movies in general cus i dont have a lot of experience with them so wouldnt know, but from the follow me around and people, i didnt think they were that well put together or artistic. teddy bear crisis from last year was farrrr better. but im just talkin about those two movies, other ones may be better.

is bikecar supposed to be a good movie? is it more abouttheir bike car or their actual riding?

But THAT is some serious shit. Travis Kennedy is just crazy and JP Walker... well he's the god of snowboarding.
 
Yeah, Biittner's was the only part I really liked.

But still, comparing it to W_WL and THAT, it is simply not up to par. The production quality was just terrible overall and didn't really flow at all compared to past releases. Sure the riding is definitely on a higher level than almost any other video that's ever been released, but c'mon the editing and filming should be just as high in quality if not better if you're filming with riders of this calibre. Think about it.
 
i understand what you're saying but the movie and the music and the style of movie fits the filming. Its meant to be a documentary and journey of snowboarding. That means not porn all the time.. so it doesnt have the greatest heli fly by shots other movies have, but it worked for me..

seeing it on the big screen was way better than watching it on dvd

anyone been able to access the hidden bonus part? i cant figure it out..
 
if bikecar is anything like december its going to fucking suck. decmber was by far the worst snowboard video ever made. Travis Parker is funny, but not funny enough to pull of stupid shit for an entire video. my prediction is bikecar is going to be horrible.
