hey, I have a macbook pro that I bought back in june of 2009 and ever since yestureday the left fan has been louder than normal. is this ok or should I go and get it checked out. the last thing i need is for this fan to fail and overheat

Thats what you get for .getting a fisher price baby computer.

Its just a fan probably. Or hopefully your Hard Drive.

First thing to do is back up all your important files.
Second, go to the apple store and talk to the people there. It might not be the fan, my parents had a similar noise and it was actually their hard drive which crashed after. Either way, go get it checked out.

I just re read it. It is your fan lol.

Open it up and replace it..... oh wait you have mac.... sucks for you! have fun paying 300 dolalrs for a new fan.

hey, i dont feel like clicking your profile to send this, too much time
its in there archive

if she got it before june 9th then she has the same mbp that i have

which you can take apart and replace individual parts independent of the apple store

go troll somewhere else

More like have fun making an online appointment for your local apple store and getting it fixed and leaving the store within an hour with all the cash still in your wallet since its covered under warranty.

Macs have substandard hardware. Its a given when you buy them. But I'd rather take a chance at having my hardware fail than deal with the daily frustration of running a horseshit OS like Windows. Just my 2 cents.

doesn't void it dude

i put in my own memory on my mbp, saved probably 300 bucks by buying it somewhere other than the apple store and then putting it in myself

2 weeks ago they replaced my port interfaces fo free. warranty is fine

only if you have the old one though, not the new retard machine with "unibody construction"

This exact thing happened to me.... took it in to the apple store and they fixed it for free. It was just a fan not a big deal.
