MAc vs Pc

I know NS eats these threads up, and they get annoying, but im considering doing a persuasive speech arguing one way or the other. What are three good main points, and iformation on each, for either mac or pc as to which is better for what ever reasons.

This isnt a which one is better debate/thread, im just hoping you guys can give me three good arguements and info for my speech. Either pro pc, or mac.
 
mac - less viruses, easy to use (imo, switched a year ago)

pc - more control, more software, more cheaper

i'd say /thread, but i'm sure other people have far more emphatic responses that need to come out
 
Mac: User interface is SOO much better, No viruses, Linux, Better tech supportPC: Vulnerable to viruses, more complicated.
I just love macs, they're much more simpler.

Macs are better for artsier things, like video editing, photo editing, photoshop, music programs, adobe etc etc

However, PC's are way better if you are doing things for like business classes where you would need Microsoft office

Windows Microsoft office > Mac version of Microsoft office.

So it all depends what you need the computer to do
 
Mac have been so much more advanced for Years than PC's. Two years ago, you look at a mac, pretty much the same as today, just a few tweeks and tighening of the bolts. If you look at a PC two years ago, they're a piece of shit.
 
show me one. Common. And I'll show you a sick mac from two years ago that would CRUSH IT INTO THE GROUND
 
Well when you call tech support for a mac you don't get a guy in a turban in east bumfuck India, trying to sell you a camel.

But I would say.

OS X: More reliable (pretty much no viruses, harder for parents to wreck them), better quality machines, faster (even If you have a crazy fast windows computer, macs just seem faster.)

Windows: Cheaper, more software available, games, cheaper.

And I'm not using either now. So...
 
It's all personal preference. They can both run Windows, they can both do artsy stuff, and they can both surf porn with no viruses. Your paper is going to be shitty, I wouldn't recommend this topic. You might as well write about Honda vs. Jeep. It's silly.
 
i agree with the few intelligent people who said it is up to preference. if you build them properly they can both probably do about the same things. i do believe though that since macs make up such a smaller percent of the overall computer market, those who use them feel superior to others and will defend macs til the end. i like both, but i think i can get a faster pc for cheaper than the most basic macbook or imac.
 
Actually, I forgot about this.

I change my argument now. Mac runs artsy stuff way better than Windows no matter what. It had better color configuration, etc. And I forgot that Macs can also be rebooted in Windows, so I would say that Macs are overall better, but thats jmo
 
Mac and PC is hardware.

The question is OS X vs Linux vs Windows.

They all have advantages and disadvantages, there is no answer to your question.
 
even though I have a mac and love it, I would argue against macs to make sure you dont come off as a hipster douche bag.

Theres a bunch of things you can say like pcs are better is you know what youre doing because theyre customizable, you can play games, theyre cheaper

but when i use mac i feel like its less organized, with all the windows different sizes and only one mouse button. nothing really important, but i just feel more comfortable dealing with PC. i like both though

and whats up with linux being a benefit of a mac? you can easily run ubuntu and barryl on a pc
 
I'm not even going to give you a list, instead I'm going to say you're an idiot and they both have their pros and cons just like anything else in this world.
 
That can't be asked here. Way to many people have Macs on NS. You'll just get a biased opinion. But in my opinion PC/Windows>Mac. Mac people tend to worship Steve Jobs, which is annoying as hell.
 
I've never owned anything that runs OSX but I can tell you that when I have used one I haven't liked it at all. Everything just seems unorganized.

Plus, using a mouse without right click is weird as hell.
 
i never understood why a mac user would run both OSX and windows and i've never heard of a windows user running windows and OSX
 
I actually know how to use a computer and I use mac for 99% of the things I do
 
i also know how to use a computer. and i use mac for everything except a few games. pc is so laggy, and the registry gets filled up with so much random shit that it slows you down. mac is so much cleaner then windows.
 
I don't really get the quality of mac argument, it'll last sooo much longer. Bullshit I have an old macbook pro and it's a piece of shit. Can't fucking play youtube videos, I mean it still runs but it sucks dick.

I don't understand people who think windows is complicated, I mean I don't like it (don't like osx either) but it's not hard to figure out.
