I prefer Macs, because I'm into graphic arts (or was).. but am stuck with a pc, because I can't afford the macbooks with the HD size I want.

I don't care about computer games so much, because I have consoles and a DS.

I don't know nearly as much about computers as k-rob does, but I can safely say that for us mere mortals here on ns, if you need lots of media capability, buy a mac, if you are into gaming, buy a pc, if you really want to do both, buy a mac with bootcamp!

Unless you're k-rob, a mac with bootcamp should be able to get you enough power for just about anything. I've seen the 15" macbook pro with 2 gigs of ram run oblivion on highest graphical settings at 46 fps which should say something about its gameability to anyone that has ever played oblivion here.

That said, what OS is k-rob using?
