Ya this pretty much doesn't show you anything interesting at all....
The whole Mac vs. PC thing will always be stupid. They are both great tools, just different. If someone offered me a choice between a hammer and a wrench...I'd ask if I could buy both. I wouldn't take one and call the guy who grabbed the other an idiot.
 
The fact that PC is more widely used by the general population and macs are typically more expensive/industry specific makes every one of those statistics pretty much useless.
 
Eh I wouldn't go as far as to say they are great tools for different things.

It would kind of like being asked to get tools to drive in and remove nails. With a non-Mac you can get a hammer with a claw, with a mac you need to get a hammer and a separate claw, and by the way those two tools are nearly double the price of the hammer with claw. But it is oh so shiny!
 
Because you don't own a Mac, so you can't understand what it's like to use it day to day for a few years. At least I assume so, but who knows since I can't make you prove it.
 
haha, i was just about to say how true it is.

As a CS major I see the mac system as very restrictive against power users. You really can't change anything about how your mac system runs. Windows is better as far as power using but still not near as powerful as a linux system.
 
Because no one pays those prices, they get parts aftermarket like any computer. I just upgraded to 8gb of RAM for $76. Not outrageous.
 
Also, here is a list of maintenance on my Fujitsu Tablet since 2007:

For me, the Fujitsu has cost more since I got here and I'm really glad our IT guys fix our systems for free.
Still, both have served well.
 
you do realize that you are buying better quality components that will be put to use by an OS that can more efficiently use their resources, right? People like you piss me off so much, the only people who say macs are "to expensive" are people who can't afford one. its like saying you should buy a honda over a bmw, you get what you pay for.
 
i have a PC and a Mac and disagree with most of them.. the whole argument is stupid. each operating system has it's own pros and cons

Fujitsu, Fujitsu, Fujitsu...

I have had a Fujitsu lifebook tablet, as does everyone in my school, and It is hands down the worst computing device I have ever dealt with. It overheats while on my desk during a 4 hour running time. It has a 100gb hard drive - can't store my pictures, music, or movies on it. Never dropped, Hit, anything. Damage? Cracked screen. Over 50% of my school has had a problem with a cracked screen, says our IT department. The screen has the worst resolution I have ever seen. The Trackpad will go on little binges where the mouse will go crazy, or not work. The tablet pen is impossible to calibrate properly. Its 13'' and 5 pounds heavy. I could go on all day about this piece of shit.

It is all preference. They do the same shit. It is like trying to argue about which is a better snow sport, skiing or snowboarding....

Last time I checked a mac was a Personal Computer as well.
 
Hopefully you see this, but I doubt it.
1. Macs are great computers but just overpriced. saying that they have better components simply is not true. They come with the same components as any other computer, the only difference is the way it is pieced together and that varies company to company. mac does well in piecing together their product.I do agree that it is vary aesthetically pleasing.
2. ADVERTISING, apple is great at this. Honestly, do research on whatever you buy. If you were to buy a new pair of skis, would you just by them because Timmy Wallathy said they were "the bomb-dot-com"? Hopefully you would also look into the stats on them.
3. Included software. the programs on macs are honestly super convenient and useful. At the same time, you can get better programs off demonoid within a couple hours. I would place macs ahead here, but I still love using adobe CS5 and all of it's different programs. Use torrents, they're good.
4. Customization. I'm not gonna act like I know any thing about Linux, but if you want a completely customizable OS, use Linux. It's like Firefox, add what you want kinda deal. (P.S. use chrome or firefox, they're simply better. That's a whole nother list though) Windows is the next closest with a lot of customizability. It is much easier to find a program off torrents that work for windows in comparison to macs. If you take a few hours to decide eggxactly whay you want on your computer then it makes the whole experience so much better. Please learn. I'll start anyone who really doesnt know too much on how much better it gets, adblock. Use it, disable it on the sites you like though so they can make money (i.e. not NS). Install this for chrome: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom , this for firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ (greasemonkey is also sick, get that and some good scripts), safari: http://safariadblock.com. that means no more ads before youtube. Congratutions, you deserve it, you just read my wall of text! With that being said though, Macs do benefit from them knowing exactly what goes inside them. This benefit comes at extremely high repair costs which makes it virtually impossible to repair macs. Replacing them often becomes more feasible.
5. Macs have better batterys. period. (period).
There's many more facts, the OP just posted a whole bunch of bullshit stereotypes. You cannot get a correct demographic when most people are forced into windows for businesses. The questions were obviously skewed towards favouring macs. If you want to be fair then at least ask the same questions and phrase the answers similarly. I found myself confused throughout the article.

They really are tools for different tasks though. I own a mac and I do QA Testing for a software company using win7 so I've gotten to know both. Would I want to use my mac for testing at work or playing PC games in general? Not at all, Win7 all the way. Would I like to spend time editing my photos (or videos if I made any) on a windows machine? No, Mac has the upper hand there.
I think most people who hate mac haven't tried them or tried to do things with a mac that it wasn't suited for. I also think most people who hate windows don't care for the customization it provides and probably had a bad experience with vista (which is fucking terrible.) That or they are filthy hipsters.

better quality components...? For what you pay, a PC is a lot more powerful than a mac, and has better quality components. Apple just puts garbage in a shiny exterior and calls it gold.

Also, op's post just reinforces the fact that most mac users are hipsters.
 
yep, that's what I got too.

I'm going to stay of this though. last time I post my PC vs. Mac picture collection I got banned. And I didn't even put the bad ones.
 
the mods are mostly a bunch of pussies that feel threatened whenever someone points out their flaws as humans so the compensate by banning people on a site. the very few ones that are chill and have met in real life HATE the other mods because they're that douchey.
