Mac users, help

pretty soon, not sure exactly but soon i will be getting a macbook and i just have some questions.

my uncle and cousin both have a macbook and macbook pro and gave me some suggestions:

get the white one with 120GB and upgrade to 160 GB, cheaper.

iwork, i think its called it has word excel powerpoint etc.

apple care protection plan

and that was pretty much it, my question is can you guys think of anything else i will need. anything at all just throw it out there...

it really depends what you want to do with it. definitly get the white one if you're going macbook because the black is just more expensive. just for reference, iwork 06 doesn't have an excel program, it's just "pages" (word) and "keynote" (powerpoint). let us know what exactly you'll be doing on it (video, photography, gaming, etc) and it will be easier to help.

chances are you can just torrent microsoft office (or the mac equivilent) so i wouldnt waste money on "iwork" or whatever its called. im not sure but i think thats what my brother mike did. definatly do the 120 gig hd then upgrade... thats about all i know about computers

how much is it to upgrade?

im pretty sure it is like $200 to upgrade, but an external hardrive seems like it would be good. my cousin has the macbook and said he needed more GB....i dunno really

i was thinking of waiting because i heard th 07 one was going to be much better, but i have microsoft word, excel and stuff on my PC...which i planned on doing research papers on anyways...

want to get into some editing this year

a whole lot of music stuff

i am currently using a torrent and it's about 3/4ths of the way. it's been kinda stuck but i'm hoping it will work.

i did it for pc so im sure its possible for mac. you can probably torrent iwork or ms office too.
