Mac Startup Disc Help

Alright, so I run windows on my mac via bootcamp, and I constantly switch between mac and windows to do my school work. The problem is, I'm getting tired of having to hold option when I restart to select what startup disc I want to run. I've seen macs that automatically give you the option to select a disc at login/startup, but I don't know how to set that up. Does anyone know what I am talking about and how to set it up? Thanks.

In system preferences there should be a button titled "startup disk" under System. You can choose from there.

Thanks, but that's just for my default disk. What I'm trying to do is get it to ask me which disk I want to use without having to hold alt at startup. I've seen it on imacs where when you log out that selection screen automatically comes up, but I don't know how to do it.

No problem, let me know if it works. I have windows/mac dual boot, but I'm using OS X 95% of the time so I use the option key every time.

It doesn't seem to work because I guess that is meant to be used when you boot mac from an original PC. I usually switch between mac/win about 8 times a day depending on my class/work schedule so the alt thing gets a little tedious. I swear there's a way to do this, but I can't find anything about it online.
