has anyone gone to a mac miller concert? i was thinking about going for $20. is it worth it? people under the stairs are opening
 
I live in Boise and am going to the portland concert day after my bday. I almost creamed when i saw PUTS opening for them. Where did you get this info???

My friends just went to a Mac Miller show and each paid like $50 and they all had a blast. I opted not to go because I don't know him well and would only drop that much money on someone I really like. $20 though? I'd do it.
 
Guarantee a lot more people know People Under the Stairs than they do Mac Miller. Guarantee PUTS has been throwing down some of the best live hip hop shows much longer than most hip hop groups/artists in the game too.
 
I guess it can go both ways. I live a long way from Mac Miller. I don't know anyone that listens to PUTS. I know A LOT of goobs who listen to Mac.

Haha, I grew up in CA and live in CO. Couldn't live farther from that bro sauce of a rapper. It definitely doesn't go both ways in this case. I'm surprised PUTS even agreed to open for him. They're so far beyond him. Saying it goes both says is like saying The Roots opening for Lil_Wayne could go both ways. Totally different styles of rap, one group having much more musical knowledge and talent than the other (I'll let you decide who that is).
 
Go for PUTS and then murder mac miller. That is the only thing you can do in this situation. Fuck as if they even actually agreed to play with mac miller.
 
I don't seem to remember the OP asking anyone's opinions on Mac Miller.. but rather if he should pay 20$ for the concert.

well if he wants our opinion if it's worth paying $20 for, wouldn't our opinion on Mac Miller therefore factor into our suggestion?
 
mac miller in pittsburgh was hands down the WHITEST event i have ever been to. the only black people at the show were in his crew.
 
Went to Mac concert in Montreal. The fist part was very bad, Mac was 2 hour late .... But it was sick. You cant go wrong for 20$ .
 
spend the $20 to see people under the stairs and then leave. I remember when the kid couldnt even get people to come to a show of his, a show that he would beg promoters to do for free. he doesnt focus on his mc abilities anymore just what his new 13-17 year old girl fans wanna hear. if you enjoy live music like i said go, but i only say leave cause i just dont like his new music and how big hes gotten, he was cool like 4 years ago tho when no one knew about him except for the kids that i knew that went to jewish camp with him.
 
i've seen him three times, and I've always enjoyed myself. 20 is not alot, and i guarantee you will have a good time, he puts on a really good show.
 
Popularity of an artists. If you are trying to make money why would you headline and "underground" rapper (I hate that term)

Every little kid and his weed smoking friend listens to Mac, Making him a headliner, Not a better artist necessarily.

My guess is is puts needs some exposure. Reach a broader audience.

i don't listen to music i don't genuinely enjoy which includes most of the other music out of pittsburgh

If every fucking mac miller wannabe fanboy starts acting like they know all about underground hip hop because one group opened up for mac, I'm going to fucking lose it. And yes, I mean this in the utmost music hipster way.
 
actually there's not. i have literally heard of of almost every decent group there is that is worth a listen. how did i do that? because i have put in the time. how can i take a mac miller fan seriously when they claim they like/know hip-hop and then act proud or indignant about not knowing PUTS!?!! they even went on to say that PUTS deserves to open for mac miller because they had never heard of them! there is a reason that you like mac miller, and that reason is because you do not know enough other even halfway decent stuff to know any better. and stop using your mac miller cereal box response that "i think i am an underground rap fan and only listen to such". i don't even make the fucking distinction because that argument is so tired and isn't even relevant. it seems like every mac fan got together one day and came up with that response for anyone that hates on his crappy music.
 
speaking as a fan of both i'd say go. $20 is so cheap for what you"ll get out of PUTS. PUTS is better than mac, but mac miller is still worth watching.
