old news, they're clocking speeds weren't measured right, it's not as fast as tehy said ti was. still damn fast though.

Clock speed is somewhat of a misnomer in actual speed of the computer. What is an accurate measurement is how many bits the processor can crunch per second. A well designed computer has a fast processor and good ALU and Control unit design. However, you could have a system with a 2 gig processor, where certain arithmetic operations take 6 clock cycles. A 1 gig processor may be designed well where the same operation only takes 3 clock cycles. These computers crunch numbers at the same rate. Computer companies play off of consumers ignorance of what speed actually is in a computer.
