Mac and AIM

I just got a MacBook, and I am wondering how to put AIM onto it. From aim.com, I can download the file, but it tries to open it using Excel, and that obviously doesn't help me. Anyone know what's up?

can't help you, but i suggest adium. works wonders.

Just find it on your desktop, the ctrl+mouse click, and go to open with-> suffit expander. That should do it, and next time you download something make sure it opens in stuffit expander not excel.

i have a powerbook g4 and aim worked fine. just go to "open with" settings

don't use AIM for mac, its super shitty. Use iChat. It's already installed on your computer. Its the little blue speech bubble with the camera. Another alternative is Adium.

yes and comparing adium to aim is like comparing a mac and pc. its way nicer and easier to use

yea aim sucks on macs.  it always shuts down randomly
