Ok well I recently got a Panasonic HD camera and when I tried to upload a few videos I toke with it to my computer there were in some strange .m2ts format I know this is the HD file but I was just wondering how/if I can convert these to something I can use to edit or if I can just edit .m2ts by themselves and if so what program could I use? Thanks!

use?

Yah its a cracked trial version ill try to redownload it and recrack it and then try all that

thanks dude and its prolly my shitty comp too

Yah it doesnt and neither does CS3 (well it doesnt work for me atleast) but i just gave up and used the software they gave me to convert it to mpeg2 which is a bitch but you gotta do what you gotta do

i remember there was a huge problem with this. Are you using some sort of hard drive with your camera? Cuz i know p2 is mxf, and i cant play those or use those on my computer and i have the newest version of FCP, but my buddy has an older version of FCP and he can play them. Its really wierd. I know that if you have FCP 6 just use log and transfer and that converts the mxf (or m2t in your case) to a mpeg2 or .mov. Since you dont have that, your going to have to find a program that allows you to play or convert that format. Look it up on google. Also to go dvxuser.com and try asking those guys. they usually have an answer.

Instead of using the program that you're using, use premier pro and capture it directly. You'll have the option of how to save it and you can edit it from there without converting anything.

1. Download Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 trial version from their site

2. Crack it with a keygen

3. Download Nero from www.nero.com

4. Crack it with a keygen

5. Get your footage onto the cimputer

6. Use Nero to convert it to .mp4

7. Import it into Premiere

If you capture it with premier pro it will capture as a avi file... The program is what sets it file extension. If it can recognize the camera, it can capture.

i had problems getting final cut to recognize my camera so i just captured with iMovie for a while. it worked, and saved as .mov. if your on a mac, try that. if you arent, search on google for shit that captures (HDV split or something) into anything not .mt2 or w/e it is

Yeah but the problem with HDD cameras is that Premiere doesn't recognize them, which sucks. I think they should come out with a plug-in so you can get footage off a AVCHD or w/e camera.

sick dude when did you get the cam? i have the whole adobe cs3 master collection (includes premier and all that) if you want it ill burn it for you. bring that shit to the lake when we go ill bring my laptop and we'll get your shit workin good
