aaaaargh! Sick man! What kinda camera is that? I really want a 4x5, but it's so expensive... (and cumbersome). One day probably

its a calumet, standard rail system 4x5. I dont own one either, can take them out and use them whenever through my school, i don't shoot them that often, only for certain assignments etc.. shoot medium format most of the time. 4x5 is a fucking blast to use though so much time and effort into each shot, i love it!

Just received this LED light

You can change the color temperature and strength with the two knobs. I'm thinking of getting 1 or 2 more in the future. They're 160 on amazon

I'm the opposite of stoked after today. Went to shoot a scene for a music video I'm directing today. First thing i did when I got there was drop my camera and smash my Variable ND filter I just bought a few weeks ago. FUCK.

Then my GH2 wouldn't let me record for more than 7 seconds without a card speed error, even though I've been using the same firmware patch and SD cards for months with NO issues. Thank god my friend had his t2i with him which saved my ass. FUCK.

Then I went for a hike with this girl I've been digging lately. Decided to bring my SRT101 to finish a roll of film I've been anxious to develop, and score some hipster points. She was totally impressed with my artsy hipster status film camera, but of course I let her play with it and she accidentally fucking opened the film back and exposed all my film. FUCKAJNDJBFDJHUKND.

/rant FUCK THIS IM GETTING DRUNK.

Wow that's tough luck...

How can you 'accidentaly' open a film camera though? It's quite a weird movement. I hope you either got a blowjob in return or smacked her.

Srt101 is a sick cam though.

damn dude, that sucks a lot.

I developed all the super 8 film I shot 2 weeks ago and its turned out way sick. super stoked.

and

just got my glidecam HD4000 today. way too stoked. gona have to start working my arms out more if im going to want to carry it for more than a 30 or 40ft without starting to die.

Just got my adapter for my 400mm. So fun to shoot with. Kinda confused on how the whole focus thing works though. No matter how much i push/pull focus, i cant seem to get anytthing in focus passed like 50-100 feet. Weird. So fun to shoot with none the less!

I know what's up (probably). You thought the mount was M42? It's probably a T2 mount: VERY similar, but just a tiny bit different (same diameter screw-mount but more threaded), so the focus is off. I've had the same thing before.

Amiright?

^ Nope its a Minolta MC/MD-----> EOS. Its weird. I cant really take any photos in focus passed like 50 feet of so.

I was thinking of this...

My adapter does not have glass in it. Could it not be able to focus correctly because the element if moved to far away from the camera?

God I love mine... So muchly.

I've acquired quite the awesome lens collection for it too (so here's my stoke)

Guy on craigslist was selling old minolta gear. had no idea about it, so he was selling it for like 100$

Lenses?

24mm

35-70mm f2.8 zoom

50mm f1.4

85mm f1.7

135mm f2.8 that's super hazed

Talked him down to 30$ for the lot. Acted like I knew nothing and was just getting it for my girlfriend who 'likes pictures' haha.

before all I had was a 35 f2.8 and a 50 f1.7

PUMPED.

This guy seemed to just be trying to clean shit out. He found it all and figured since 'nobody uses film anymore', that he should dump it.

Laughs.

Filmed a documentary in august with the Northeastern University men's basketball team

Here is a preview of it

Nothing too special, I'm filming midnight madness at my school and sending them individual shots through ftp. The event goes from 9pm until midnight, as does the show (aired on ESPN U).

So basically a bunch of D1 basketball schools around the U.S. send individual clips during that time frame and then espn has a bunch of people on their end who quickly edit the various clips together so they can be aired. As soon as I get a good shot I have to stop recording, transcode it, and send it to espn through ftp. I'm working with one other guy so we will be switching off between who is recoding/uploading

Not that cool, but I'm still pretty stoked

So much fucking stoke, my 60d came in today to reunite with my tammy 17-50, my glidecam is on the way, and I'm about to gnab the tokina 11-16 and complete my ultimate NS setup

Paid the $10 for a pentax k to eos adapter and I'm actually way too stoked! I get to use this old vivitar 28-90mm f2.8, which according to pentax forums has some pretty heavy vignetting. Might make for some unique shots, and at the very least it'll be fun to have a longer focal length than 50mm to play with. And I have an old smc 55mm f2 that could turn out pretty sweet

Super hipster cred having an old manual lens on the camera too aw yea

well im at anti stoke right now because i have two very difficult tests tomorrow that i am just now starting to study for, but very stoked on next week when i will have much more free time to finish up some projects with a lot of after effects work. stoked to get that done

Not stoked: A few edits to finish that I dont want to finish

Stoked: Doing some pre season upgrades and selling some old stuff, new stuff is always fun.

I realize lowepro makes legit products that serve their purpose well..... but why do they make everything so fucking ugly? I mean really who designed that shape?

smart. canon glass + anything not canon = shitty. going to nikon glass makes your more flexible.

Yeah, it's really boxy. Not extremely happy with it, but it was only $100 and it's nice to have the easy access of a messenger with the stability of a backpack. I bought it indenting to use it for events. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up an f-stop loka/S+L as my big photo pack; because it can double as my BC bag I can kinda justify the price cus I need both anyways.

not a huge deal, but i'm going to my universities astrophysics observatory to shoot stars and etc with my schools photography club. i love astrophotography and haven't had much time to shoot anything lately so i'm pretty stoked.
