Lynn Canyon

hey does anyone know when the water levels are high enough to jump some of the cliffs there? Me and some friends are thinking of going later june or july 4. thanks.

I seem to recall reading that it's usually a no-go until early august most of the times, and if it's been a wet year, or a late summer it could be even later then that.

And considering the year we've had, that could be the case. I think its Hucksplat on here that would really know.

Hucksplat will know.

but July 4th is too early for sure

last year it was around mid july when it was okay and we had absolutely no snow pack

You can go jump at Lynn Canyon right now, but you just can't hit the waterslide and do the main features in the Circuit. http://mowgli.ca/zones/lynncanyon.html

You can hit 30 foot pool right now, but its cliff are mellow and sometimes awkward.

The stuff down at twin falls might be ok, the Indian head jump is actually better in the early season, but the abyss cannot be hit yet (you will drown).

There is a pool just 30 meters up river from twin falls that should be ok and has a few nice cliffs on it.

Personally, Lynn Canyon is all about the waterslide and given the snowpack, I don't recommend going there until this August at the earliest.

Capilano Canyon has tons of good cliffs and should be good to go right now. I'd recommend going here instead of Lynn at this time of year.

okay thanks, my friend i was going with is leaving on the fifth of july, so i guess no lynn canyon. We'll probably check out that other spot or just go pier jumping.
