So went to check out this rave- not too into raves but sent with a crew and thought it could be a good time. Spent 70 bucks on tickets for my girlfriend and myself so it was a bunch of money straight off, but i have heard good things and figured if it cost that much it must be fun. Plus the great saltair is pretty baller. So we go, everyone gets wasted in the parkinglot and we go in. Straight off we realize there wasnt tha many kids there but figure more will show up. They dont- it ends be being alright if we were right up in the crowd were it was kinda packed but if not it was just a bunch of fat chicks wearing little to nothing and cholos. So long story short it was essentially a glorified 80s night with techno instead of 80s music. i hate to be a hater but its def not worth 35 bucks. if your set on going then buy your ticket early so you dont end up blowing as much money on a rave that is just not that great. my two cents- if anyone has better stories or w/e post them so i know that it potentially could be more fun.
 
yea saltair is often a weird scene, check out W Lounge on some wednesdays and for a sick party go to sound tribe sector 9 at the depot on feb 25th. Its 21+ though, if that is an issue.
 
jack, bummer that the event didnt turn out too well for you. usually v2 events kill it at their shows. what time did you all show up? nothing really starts happening till around midnight normally. the whole rave scene out htere is tricky i guess, some of them can absolutely go off and others are a bit sub par. i shot luv2k last year, it was actually dale talkingtons birthday around then as well and we (myself, witt, ryan west and peter) took him there for slay on some girls. this was the video i ended up with. if you look in there you can actually see all of them with quick cameos.

oh yeah, also just found out a couple days ago that steve aoki is playing there april 10th...that would be an illllll show for sure!
 
bummer, Jack. I had a great time at last year's event, as you can see me in the video learning what Hennie's video camera from the future is. I think you just got unlucky, to be honest.
