I was at my friend's house downtown listening to some Morphine and some other cool funk stuff for a while earlier, but I had to leave to go study. I was so amped up on the drums and really wanted to play. I had to walk through downtown to get back to campus, and I as passed by the music store I saw a blues jam session. Not ten seconds after walking through the door the singer asked if someone wanted to play drums. It was one of the most shreddingest seshes I've ever been a part of. Everybody just fucking ripped and I couldn't stop laughing. This was definitely the best thing that's happened to me this week. Tell me about all the good karmas coming your way.
 
That's sick man, my dad and I also both play, and whenever my dad's old band plays a show and we show up they always ask him to play, and nothing's better than just a straight up jam. I wish I had more friends that played, since I'm limited to my basement at this point
 
I know the lonesome basement feeling for sure. I don't know how old you are, but since I've come to college, I've been a dirty, slutty music whore. That's the only way to make magic happen.
 
I play Bass and Ill tell you, nothing beats jamming with the bros. Weve actually got ourselves a little band goin (Bottom Bunk Funk). But every saturday night we get some brews and blunts in our drummers basement and just jam into the AM. Sometimes we even get ourselves a little audience haha. Such a great way to spend your night.
 
i didn't know you can get high off listening to morphine?!?!?!? And I've been wasting my money on syringes this whole time.. fuck.
 
did you bring a kit to college? I'm graduating this year, so I guess next year I'll have to live it up! I was in the paul green school of rock program for a few years through middle school, so I've still got my fix of playing cool concerts and festivals (and one at six flags!)
 
Yes. Bring your kit. Put it in front of your roommates closet to piss him off. But seriously, it will sit there for weeks, and all of the sudden you'll want it for some off campus gig or something. Also, there's tons of jam sessions in big cities if that's where you will be. I used to play in Kansas City, but then I transferred to a small ass town.
 
alright will do haha although the kit I would have to bring is pretty trashy since there's no way in hell my dad would let me bring one of his, but it's better than nothing for sure. Damn I actually can't wait to jam in college, should be fun as shit
