I thought weight had nothing to do with it? I could see the argument for longer skis though- but my physics knowledge is fairly limited.

it makes total sense, if anyone watched the video of that 14 year old kid hitting the pyramid gap, they said he had to hike up 10+ feet higher than the rest of the people hitting it. its all about the momentum you carry into the jump. and if you dont weigh as much you wont be able to carry as much momentum
