Loveland Underrated?

Okay...this may not be thread worthy

BUT, why the fuck does Loveland not get the recognition it deserves? Been there every year for the past 7 years and I truly cant see why its not more popular. Whats the point of driving into summit on a pow day when chances are loveland gets more snow? I really dont get it. The above tree-line skiing is perfect for sunny days, and the stuff down low isnt too shabby either. Nothing is crazy steep, but its enough to keep you busy until east wall is open at a-basin.

Obviously theres no high speeds, but for $50 a day and never waiting in a lift line....i dont think it can be beaten. I have had the deepest days of my life there and more times than not find myself hard-pressed to count more than 20 people on the mountain.

I love loveland, and everyone I ski with also digs loveland, so I do think it gets the attention it deserves, however, I don't ski it as much as Key or Abay because it isn't on the Epic local. The epic pass is a great deal for the money and since I have it it makes more sense to just ski the resorts that are on the pass. Ill throw down for a 4-pack at loveland because it's something different, but I also don't think it's necessarily better than some of the mountains around it.

loveland is so ridiculously, unbelievably better than abasin. but quit telling people...its been much more crowded this year. ruins about half of loveland's appeal.

and while im at it, everybody shut up about Copper.

funny you say that because I was at a-basin, copper, and loveland right after the new year this year. First time I was at copper and I was ridiculously impressed. The high alpine and the back bowls had such easy access and were a ton of fun. Not to mention, there are some real steep groomers that are fun to bomb on skiers right of the mountain.
