Loveland Day 1 Report

Did anyone go to Loveland today? I am sure it was nothing special but let's hear it..

1 run for 35 bucks. plus $ to get my ass up there = not worth it when a basin is opening in 6 days!

it was really fun actually, but that is because i haven't skied and 9 months and i got to test my newly rehabbed knee, which ended up going way better than i expected. the little rails were fun as shit to session all day

abasin always has something in the rail dept. buddy even in mid june when you had to bind-out and walk over dirt to get to them they still had 2 rails.

What? Abasin took 3 months to get a rail up last season.

we drove past A-Basin today on our way to Loveland Pass (not the ski area, which, sorry to say, sucks right now) and their park looked almost ready to go, there was like five or six rails visible from the road, maybe one jump, but its all groomed and looks ready. All they need to do is make some snow a little more on the run to the base.

Ahhh!! I am freaking out... if not for FUCKING organic chemistry i'd have been there this weekend. But, next weekend!!! find us at A-basin.

5 mountain pass give it up. yeaa.

ill be at the basin on friday next week testing my PRAJEKT'S. and getting my 5 mountain pass for free.

loveland was pretty sweet. 2 boxes and 1 rail, and TONS of people sliding them. it was pretty ridiculous by the end of the day, but what can you expect? good over all.

can someone tell me how much snow you got up there on sunday night/monday? im going tuesday and am trying to decide between the pass and the resort...

so i just got my 5 mountain on sunday, but it's not gonna come in the mail for like two weeks, do you think the abasin peeps will give me a ticket if i bring my pass receipt? or should i try the green pass?

ya they will strode, at least i think so. i have never had to deal with that stuff at a-basin, but i know at breck and keystone if you loose your pass all they need is your name and a picture ID and they will print you out a new pass right there on the spot. a-basin might do that. you should call and see.

heres the report for october 19th: deep deep snow considering it is OCTOBER 19 at the saddle until the treeline where it gets a little thinner...some good tree skiing down to the rail yard, where there is a 15ft round rail about a foot off the ground, and some really small box thing...also, there are several well made tree jibs...2 or 3 straight about 5 feet up and a nice battleship too, there is a bunch of metal up there, just not enough snow to mount them...overall a good time, rides to the top were no problem at all, fun day, may be back thursday

 
strode you are good with your reciept and id. They are used to that at seasons' start and are way chill at abasin. I'll be there sun. Pre-season shots look good I am bummed they combined the two parks, that sucks b/c the top park was the highest in the country and much less crowded than the lower, now it is all the same.
