yeah most of their songs have lotr referrences in them, stairway is about galadriel, and in the battle of evermore they say 'the ringwraiths ride in black', but that whole song is about lotr

robert plant was a huge tolkien fan. the song The Battle Of Evermore (as mentioned before) on IV, or the four symblos, is entirely about lotr and is one of their best songs. if you listen hard in a few of their songs you can catch some tolkien references, but i wouldnt say most. just some

^yeah it does look like gandalf. they have alot of songs with lotr influence, ramble on, over the hills and far away, misty mountain hop, i think there are more.
