Opening day at baker - tip deep pow, bluebird...epic. me and some buddies woke up early and hiked out to chair 5 at 7.25 AM to secure our spot on the first chair of the first pow day of the entire season. After getting on the first chair (claim) we rode up, got off and immediately started to ride down. 'bout halfway down i hit a tiny pillow and landed a bit forward in the heavy pow, proceeded to front flip and pop out of both my hellbents. one of em stayed there, and the other one took off down the hill, never to be seen again..

It was right under chair 5, on gobbles, skiers right of the chair, right beneath the diving board up top. If anyone finds a lone hellbent in that area PLEASE get ahold of me! I can offer a very hefty reward if found!

first chair- couldn't you have seen the brake drag marks down to where the ski went?

and good luck, but with the up and coming storms, you'll have to wait till June if it's hasn't already been found.
 
Ah that's rough dude. I lost my ski for 2 hours last time I was at baker. I found it right before I had to leave. Good luck finding it.
 
Ahhh... thats rough man. I think I saw you guys looking for it. Fucking epic day though. I'll keep an eye out.
 
That totally sucks man! I saw you digging with your buds for such a long time and then saw that you left. I assumed that you found it (since I saw you guys left) which I was stoked for at the time, total downer that you didn't find it.
 
it was probably submerged...

let this be a lesson to all of us: powder cords may be annoying but they will save your ass in a situation like this. hope you find it.

I saw that too. Did you guys check the trees at the bottom of the run? It was super light that morning and it could have traveled a ways under the snow before popping up and crusing down to the trees. When its light, rockered skis like to pop back up if you lost it with heat. I've stayed in the bathtub at my landing and have seen my ski pop out 30+ feet down from me. Goodluck, sorry to hear about that.
 
That sucks... FWIW your were not the only one digging for their skis on such an EPIC opening day. Saw another guy digging under 6 looking for one of his Icelantic ski. Hope someone finds it before it gets burried for the winter.
 
I dunno if it was yours or someone elses but there was a single hellbent laying on the ground outside heather meadows lodge-inside the beer gates. I would check with baker to see if one showed up-there were no other skis around it. That was on Sunday
 
Dude in the scuba saga coat on a snowboard with the guy in a brown saga coat on some bents, you probably couldnt see though cause we were scuba diving under the snow.
 
I went up there the other day to look for it...ended up finding my buddys lost EP, which was pretty tits. Also got some epic boot-skiing on the way down...
But alas, the Hellbent was no where to be found. There were footprints in the area though, has anyone seen / claimed it??? If you have seen it, lemme know..if you have claimed it...shaaaaaaame. give it back please, I NEED MUH POW SKEEZE!
