Lost First Drop Opening Night Perfect North

I was not able to be at opening night, but I let my friend (NS name Bangs.) borrow my black/grey first drop jacket from last year because his jacket hasn't arrived yet. He set it down and it was either picked up by mistake or purpose.

It is size XL

It has a Droid X phone in the pocket with earbuds.

If anyone knows anything or has seen it, please let me know via PM or facebook (Justin Alloway)

Thankyou, and yes there will be +k and a reward to whoever can aid me in finding it.

thanks in advance.

shitty man. i hope you find it. last year i set my bag down and went into chow corral and it got stolen. inside was my blackberry, ipod, headphones, wallet, and jordans. PNS seriously needs to do something about security, maybe install some cameras (inside and outside the lodge) they just dont give a shit about our stuff.

my buddy got his snowboard stolen last year out of the little rack downstairs, you file a report, but they dont do shit

Yeah I have had two beanies with a pair of polarized crowbars and a pair of smith io's get stolen last year. The only.two times of the year I didn't wear my helmet. I also had my poles stolen last year.

It took me all night to figure out how to cut them down then bam some little punk stole them. If anyone sees a pair of black scott punished poles that look like 8 year old poles they are mine.

You have got to be kidding me? "They just don't give a shit about OUR stuff." Are you serious? When you go to the mall do you just set you bag down unattended and go to the restroom? IF you do you deserve to get your shit stolen! I'm sorry but since when is it a companies responsibility to watch out for someone else's property? Do you watch out for Perfect North Slopes property? When you see someone graffiti the restrooms do you report them? Or do you do it yourself? NO. I'm sorry but your statement, is the most asinine statement I've read in a long time. People need to take a little responsibility for their own stuff and actions. We aren't your parents, it isn't our job to watch your stuff, and protect your from yourselves. Kids these days have this false sense of entitlement that makes them think that they deserve everything and that the world is build just for you. It isn't, you haven't been here long enough to EARN the right to be entitled to anything.
If I leave a pair of gloves in the restroom and forget them, I know they are as good as gone. Am I going to blame PNS? Why the hell should I? It is my fault for forgetting them, and some scrupulous person took them, not Perfects.
You know if it hadn't been in a bag, would you have just left your stuff on the table? Ipod, Phone, Headphones, wallet... just lay them on the table? Really? Do you really think that Perfect North Slopes should be responsible for these expensive items that you just left on a table? Or that because it was in a bag and someone couldn't see your expensive stuff that you obviously didn't care about, that they wouldn't steal them? Get real. Would you expect someone to not steal my MacBook Pro if i just left it on a table in the lodge completely unattended? Yeah right.
Perfect North Slopes has lots of lockers that only cost $.50. Tell me is it worth $.50 to not have all of your shit stolen? I would hope so. Because lockers GUARANTEE that your shit won't get stolen.
I feel bad that your stuff was taken, but you did NOTHING to keep it from getting stolen.

in my case, this is actually not my fault but my friends, he is either going to pay me 180 dollars or we are finding this thing

I never said that Perfect North Slopes is responsible for letting my stuff get stolen. I felt like they never put in an effort to get it back. I filled out a form at the office and expected to hear back from them sometime, never did. Even calling me saying they didn’t find out who did it shows they care. When my items were stolen it was Grand Theft, which is a felony. This should be taken very seriously and ought to involve the police and PNS working together to return stolen items and catch the felon. When I say this I speak for all people who have had something stolen. This is a huge problem; something needs to be done to stop it.

the police dont really do anything either when items are stolen... my gf had her stereo stolen out of her car and called the police. they wrote up a report and shit but told her there wasnt much they could do... and really like what do you expect them to do except tell you they will keep an eye out for it?

the best thing you can do yourself is just keep a lookout and maybe check ebay and craigslist type sites to see if they are selling it... if you were able to acutally locate it then you could call the cops and have some chance of getting it back... authorities have more to worry about than some kids stolen ipod, stereo, jacket, skis, etc....

but yeah using a locker is a good idea... thats why they have them.

The thing that needs to be done about it is lock up your shit. What do you really think we can do about a bag that got stolen? Let's say we have cameras everywhere and we see the person who took your bag... then what? Unless you can ID the person personally, how would we know who he/she was? Even IF we could watch them get into their car, which on a busy day would require no less then 30 cameras (which would be at least $80,000) what if it isn't even their car? The police don't even do this much work but you expect us to, for an ipod and phone? People's cars get stolen and the police put about the same amount of effort in to that as they did your ipod. I have a similar experience as slaydave, as i had everything stolen out of my truck, which was much more than you had in your gym bag... what did I get, "well we'll see what we can find..." did i get a call back? Did i find my shit? I didn't even get my shit replaced by insurance. Look man like i said I'm sorry your stuff got stolen, and we're working on some things at PNS to try and help, but if someone really wants your shit, they will get it, especially if you don't even try to stop them by locking it up.
The thing about your jacket getting stolen, if you see someone with it on, you might be able to get it back... especially if their aren't many people with the same jacket. When you see them with what you think is your jacket get the police involved and have them prove that it is yours. If they are cool and didn't steal it they should understand. I have had a couple pairs of skis stolen and I got them back because i saw people riding on them.

for reference, this is what it looks like

Wow this thread got serious fast.

I guess you can look at getting your stuff stolen in two way. Be pissed off about it, which everyone is, or take it a sign that you get to buy new things eventually. I'm always excited when i get to buy new things. I know the second excuse really makes no sense but its my way of rationalize the pain of getting my things stolen.

After having about 400 dollars worth of things stolen at perfect north I will now invest in a locker or keep my things in the car.

I almost always keep my stuff in my car, within eye sight or in a safe place, but on the rare occasion that I do leave something laying around, I'm well aware that it can get taken. I'd much rather walk to my car and have to go get something than leave it where any random sketchball can get their hands on it.
You have a pretty unique jacket, so I'd say there's a bit of hope. Keep your eyes on craigslist and on the hill, because if someone's dumb enough to wear it than you can more than likely prove it's yours. Hope you find your jacket.

like i said before, it was my fault for allowing my friend to borrow it, but it is his fault for losing it, i would just rather find it than have him pay me for it

I saw you wearing it there Thursday.

I'll keep an eye out for sure. I doubt whoever stole it will have the balls to wear it back to Perfect's but we'll see.

And if any of us DO see someone wearing it... what do we do?

well technically that was my friend Jon Churi, i was not able to make it on thursday,

umm

i dont know

just ask where they got it, and i guess just tell me or take it from them.. oh and ask where the phone is too

plus it just sucks that they dont make it anymore and i just got it a couple weeks before the season, i didnt even get to ski on the hill in it, only on a golfcourse jib setup lol

on Monday i was on the blue lift with these two little kids and we were talking and they brought up how they both stole a pair of sick brown poles and how they are gonna customize them.. i kinda chewed em out a little bit and said what if someone stole your poles.they proceeded to race through audition and drop the poles back off in the rack where they found them. so be aware, 8 year olds like to steal new poles.
