2 days doesn't apply to lost baggage, simply because through 1 sorting error, the clubs could have ended up literally anywhere that air canada flys.
Then from there it'll take awhile before anyone realizes the bags haven't been picked up.
Finally when they get claimed in some way (having those barcodes literally saves you 3/4 of the hassle.) they have to get re-sorted, put on a different flight back, and finally sent to you.
Be patient. It sucks, but it's all you can do. It's also the type of shit where the airline will say they can't find them, give you whatever amount they offer...and then 7 months later, your bag will be at your door with an apology for the delay.
