Too many years back to remember, but I feel like I got pwn3d by a lot of older members for a while. And it always felt like what I was posting was forced and unnecessary. Although my post count started back when commenting on photo's/vids added to your post count.
 
i made some shitty and really vague gear talk thread and got owned by other nsers. I had no idea what I was doing oh and cool story by me I used to not know where the post button was so id always quote reply and try to type in the quoted area what i wanted to post. then eventually i found the text box you're supposes to type in. I was a pretty slow ns learner.
 
hahaha, sophmore year of high school i made a thread about my dumbass getting in my dumbass friend's brand new mustang and going waaaaaayy too fast. i wasnt sure to come back or not. pretty sure i pm'd skiierman telling him to fuck off as well, haha

Mine was in some "post the sickest double flip thread". To feel included, I searched double flip on youtube, watched the first video and then declared that "joe merrell's pistol flip" was the sickest double.
 
That's kind of what I was hoping. I just remember taking myself way too seriously and got into a stupid internet squabble about the difference between a glacier and a snowfield. Pretty earth shattering shit! Someone called me a nannerpuss. Haven't tried digging up that thread. I think I'd be a little embarrassed reading some of my first posts.

I dont remember my first post, all I know is that there were about 10k members and no trolls or hate. The good old days.
 
I have no clue, was almost 10 years ago now, but every now and then a thread from back then will get bumped and I'll run across a post of mine and it makes me embarrassed for how young and dumb I was.

probably not my first post, but i remember posting in the "post your setup" thread, and i thought i was the biggest shit, i set up all of stuff on my floor, took a picture, and it was a red, white and grey ripzone jacket, digi camo pants, shitty dalbello beginner boots, and salomon flyers. got hated on hardcore and would not accept any of it. it was amazing.

i had been reading the forums for like 6 months before i joined, so i was really nervous about getting flamed. my first posts were all super neutral and i was just trying not to draw attention to my self
 
i remember mine, it was a total claim thread about my new skis (rossi scratch ghettos) that didnt come out until the next fall haha. but, kids didn't hate because I at least posted the pics correctly

I don't remember what my actual first post was.
I do remember being pretty stupid though. I asked pointless questions, got sucked into the blackhole of religion/politics bitch fests, and made unfunny jokes.
Well the last one is probably still true.
 
Haha I was thinking about this the other day. It was a thread on burised heals I think. I was super doper nervous I was pretty young at the time. Nope, I was freaked they would though but it was a supringsly quality post. I mythreaded it. But I waited like 5 years of lurking before I posted haha
 
on my first account that i set up in like 2002, i just lurked and never did anything. Once I started this one up in like 04, i think my first thread was about Rossignol Scratches or something, and some kid got pissed at me and called me a noob when I said the dimensions wrong haha.
 
my first time was with another virgin. for some reason when i popped her cherry it bled a shit ton. all over my bed and floor and had to throw away my sheets. even worse, my parents come home during the middle of this to discover us with bloody sheets and have no idea what the fuck is going on. worst experience ever

I hated Ben. till i had like 150 posts and realized he wasnt a dick, i was just a newb.

Shit that was a long time ago....
It was harder back when I joined because you would get intelligently destroyed if you fucked up. Although the creativity of the trolls on NS today is getting pretty awesome.
Some of the old guard was definitely intimidating but now they aren't really here.
 
friend showed me ns when he was swaying a contest, I then thought it would be cool to make the same thread and uber reposted his thread. felt like a loser.
