Did anyone see it? I did. it was OK. i mean, there was some solid old school skating, and the whole vibe of the movie is neat. they way its shot or edited makes it all old lookin. And there were a few funny parts, but something was missing. i dunno...... go watch it and say what you think.

I haven't seen this, however, I have seen Dogdown vs. Z-Boys, which is an excellent movie.

fuck you guys, that movie kicked ass! sure if youre some yuppy movie critic it'll suck, but its the most accurate representation of skateboarding to ever come out in theaters. nothing in that was hollywoodized. it was pretty funny too.

i havent seen the one thats out, but the documentary is incredible, after seeing that, i dont really want to see the new one

Dogtown and Z-boys the documentary is sweet... and i had high hopes for Lord of Dogtown because it had a plot and kept the ADD type kids (myself) more attentive. I enjoyed watching it... it gave me a neat feeling..... but it coulda been better.

Very good movie, and yes anyone could make it. I havent seen the whole documentary but what i saw of it was good. I like the part where he asks his maid in spanish to brink him some more herb...I wish i could remeber how to say that..

I had my ticket for the longest yard last nite and standin in line i saw the sign for lords of dogtown and i was like shit i wish i went in there.

theres no business like snow business.

If they had followed Jay Adams life track the movie woulda been amazing. He kept things very rooted. as much as he got fucked up he never had a ridiculous hype like peralta or alva. The lords of dogtown is really good, the documentary is alot better, but the movie is still real good. and Heath Ledger, played his part amazing ease up on bad acting reviews.

^ Yeah, what this guy said. Heath Ledger was REALLY good in it. I didn't believe it myself, but it's true! The movie was better than I thought it would be. The documentary was still better though.

 
it's good for all these young kids to know that skating evolved from surfing and has more meaning. Stacy, Jay Adams and the rest of the Z guys should be praised more.

if you saw the movie but not the documentary see the documentary...it makes you want to skate so bad jus tso you can be part of the movement

My dad used to ride with those guys all the time. He grew up around them and rode for Vans back in the day. Hah, it's great, if we're ever near a skatepark he'll go over there and ask to use someone's board. He shows all of them up and busts out all these oldskool moves. it's awesome.

ya...the movie was way sicker than i thought it was gonna be. i thought oh god here comes another gay movie about skating like grind. i was suprised at how well it was made. i saw the documentary too and that was even cooler than the movie. i do agree that that was the best i have ever seen heath ledger act
