Finally got my ass in gear. Here ya go!

Lord of the Park has moved to Hemlock Resort for March 1st, 2008. I am managing the terrain park and Hemlock has graciously allowed me to build a custom course in the middle of the mountain just for the event and the following film shoot for Theory-3 Media. The course will be a condensed slopestyle that will consist of one hand shaped jump with 3 size options leading into a rail set with multiple options not normally seen in competitions. The course will be built and hand detailed the week leading up to the event and will be open for training on Friday, Feb 29.

Prizes include a Powder Mountain Catskiing trip, cash, a Surefoot custom ski boot kit, too many Salomon skis and bindings, multiple Oakley head to toe set ups, goggles, Bern helmets and enough prizes for everyone else.

Registration:

Ams: $25

Pros: $35

Cash only

Register for the event on the day of only.

Registration is from 8am to 10am in the Hemlock Day Lodge.

if our parents cant be there with use is there a way we can print off the waiver o w,e ever it is and have them sign it and bring it with use?

Lift tickets are not included in the registration fee. I am working on discoutn lift tickets. However, with a pass from another mountain you most likely get deals at Hemlock. Just bring your seasons pass and show it at the ticket booth. If you are staff, get a letter from your mountain that says you are staff, and your pass and you will most likely get bigger discounts.

accomodation that is not at the hill! check it out

brian, what are you gunna do if it rains? because i have a long history of not competing in shitty weather. its suposed to be sunny on sunday...

I got a sprained neck from the double stager case action...

I was the kid in the blue Aeryx suit, I kinda deserved it though...

btw, that jump would have worked, had people had more time to hit it test it and know the speed, also most people didn't seem used to a steeper takeoff. I hit it and it felt fine, a little lippy but good transition into the lippiness, oh well

Haha yeah as soon as I was on the jump I knew I wasn't going to make it, tried to slow it down as much as I could to stop the esssplosion.

Anyways, I just had to type that because I'm sitting at home instead of skiing b/c of my stupidness.

Ehhhhh which people were you guys?

i wasn't actually up there but am now more dissapointed because i wanted to meet the guy (you) with the boondocks as his avatar. andyboy was. lightning francis 7 suit.

All in all Brian, I'm going to have to say it was a good time man, I think I can safely say for everyone that we all had a kickass time. I have no beef with the setup, I blame myself for my caseage too.
Thanks for putting it up!

How does somewhere where the road doesn't make me feel like I'm on my way to Gehenna?

No it's fine as a venue, and it looked like the jump was well built... it was the knuckle/landing that was the problem. That was a shooooort landing, and coming up short = doom. I don't know if there was really room to build a bigger landing though, so that might not be suitable as a location for the course unless you can move the jump.

Except:

Apparently Hemlock's Cats couldn't climb the slope of the originally planned course site so they had to move it to the skier's right of the mountain where it was still too steep to make a longer landing...? And the winch cat was broken and they stole the cat away many times to groom some crappy run and the cat driver hates Brian...? Which is why they only groomed one sketchy line on the way into the jump?

Just speculation piece together with random facts that I heard over the weekend...

i had fun, i think if that same lip was about 10 feet closer to the landing it wouldnt have been as bad, im glad no one ever hit the big side, that would've been absolute death and then some, next year needs more shwag

hmm i was watching the people going off the jump and some seemed just stupid. it looked like a fun jump exept all these kids who had seen the proper speed were turning 5 or 6 times before they got to it. when i heard it got closed i was so suprised.

i think one smaller take off would have solved the problem of all the youngins destroying themselves

Dude I talked to you. I was also sitting on the barrel bonk during finals. Dark red cord jacket, white Cbars.

That pizza takeoff was painful to watch. What were you thinking?

High speed pizza is just asking for a ruined pair of knees.
