Loose CAST Toe Piece

Hey all, just mounted my cast setup and one alpine toe piece is tight and the other knocks around a little. Wondering if anyone has ever experienced this and if its even worth trying to fix? When boot is locked in the piece doesn't move at all, maybe just being picky.

I’ve had the same issue but I wouldn’t worry too much if it doesn’t wiggle while your boot is in. Both of mine wiggle when I’m clipped out but I never notice anything when I’m riding.

Sweet, good to know! Think im just being picky lol

Yeah, a few folks have had this concern and Cast has always said that it's normal. They leave a little bit of tolerance in there so that the mount doesn't have to be perfect. So if you do have wiggles, it means whoever mounted your skis did a very good job, lol.

It's kind of similar to a demo binding. All (?) demo bindings wiggle a bit when not engaged. Click in, and you're solid.

Lock in your toes and give the screws a half turn or so. Not bad to have some wiggle as long as they're solid when clicked in. Honestly makes swapping toes easier especially when it's cold.

Don't do this if your glue has already dried, you're going to break the seal.

Hey y’all, so I have the same wiggle that has been talked about but I’m a bit more worried because when I crashed a month ago the toe piece popped off and I lost it in the snow. I just got some replacement parts for it and am looking for advice on if I should try and tighten the screws or just take my chances. I know that tightening the screws will likely nullify the glue that they use when mounting and then I’ll really be screwed. Any advice?
