Loon 12/13

idk if it will be a zoo.... yea itll be busy but not as bad as usual i think.... after the rain and it being warm, no one will think the skiing will be good. so no one will go. especially all the people that go once or twice a year. atleast thats my thoughts.

and just to throw this out there. loon has been resurfacing trails all day and all night at full capacity so hopefully it will be good. they do wonders with good temps so i hope it wont be too bad

I'll be up today, weds, and fri. Looks like they'll be getting some snow these next couple days so hopefully I can make it over to black for the first time this year.

its not as bad up there as i thought it would be... where they have snowmade its really nice and soft.

although the park is a little hard (only a little icey) and with some snow showers coming i think that will help

but the bottom rail section looks really fun right now. hopefully its open on wed!

loons park page but i posted the exact setup on page 3 and the rest is on page 4 of this thread. the setup is the exact same as i posted before...

except there are a few extra features at the bottom above the stair set. and stair set is now open too

loon is real fun right now

USASA superpipe sunday. Video Games event saturday. I'll be up Saturday for video games with a crew.

40 a person. so my team would cost 120 or 160$ just to enter. I have a season pass, so the lift ticket does nothing for me. maybe i'll just go and make an unofficial entry with my franns.

pipe will be closed on sunday.

video games wont close anything... its an edit contest so nothing needs to be closed.

idk why you would compete instead of getting a pow day though. the park is gunna blow. your gunna get no speed.

ill be up this weekend.

Ill be up tomorrow and, depending on how much snow/how much alcohol I consume the night before, may consider going up saturday as well.

loon is $$$$$$ sunday was a mob scene but the snow stayed nice all day long. didnt hit much ice at all for the amount of people. the parks are really nice too. so much fun

trees are a bit boney still- you can find some good snow but its not hard to break through to the layer below and really tear up your skis- one more good dump of snow and the glades will be in great shape, but i wouldnt recommend going in just yet

I've been skiing black for glades and it's not bad. Yeah there are some spots that are pretty thin on cover but if you take your own lines the 2 feet of pow help keep your skis from harm.

this... still a lot of rocks and roots poking up.

1 more decent storm and the woods will be $$

oh and i like all the loon edits that are being thrown up on here. keep em comin!!

POST YOU EDITS IN HERE! I'm sick of sifting through the vids section trying to find them. Here's me and my buddies from preseason:

We should have another one dropping soon.

Post up!

fluorescent nights is in like a week, but the still have the progression park set up in lil' sister. Are they gonna change it or just keep it?

Got rid of the flat tube, now it's another flat box. Got rid of the down tube now its a small DFD, and got rid of the flat down box and replaced it with a "dragon" rail. Overall changed for the worse

wave/dragon rail is a positive change. fuck that flat down box..

everything else i am dissapoint. looks like i'll continue lapping lmp.

Some new TSC edits from LMP... it's been so fun

NH vaca week is aawesome. 2 storms of almost a foot in a week. snow is so soft. and both parks are wicked fun to lap.

was there today, but I was with my old man so no park laps (not to mention...I suck in the park)

pretty decent conditions overall. Plus after 12:30, the place was absolutely deserted. Chair to chair, every run, no lines.

loon was sick when i left on thursday. i skied sunday-thursday and it was awesome. park was soft. parks are still fun. oh and the trees were unreal.

Went to loon today. they closed the park yesterday. Honestly i am disappointed. They made an even more stupid at the beginning. The one they had before was better, not that it was that good. The park crew hasnt doesnt anything and never changes up the park anymore. Springboard has that stupid 5ft dfd instead of the fun big round tube. and then 2 boxes right after eachother at the top. Honestly they need to step it up. Killington, and waterville have stepped it up big time.

They changed the top with a stupid wall "closeout" if you wanna even all it that, with a down flat on the right and another down flat on the left. those rails r dope but the wall thing is fucking stupid. Other than that loon is the same. Like i said, they dont change it anymore. they have so many rails and dont put hardly anything in.

they also set up the yellow half gate in the flat between the high cascade rail and the ledge to rail stairset feature.

and yeah.. the new "closeout" is a POS.

warning:

to anyone who uses the cut through trail from the family zone that you have to duck under the pipe at the end, snow-po has that shit on lockdown. DO NOT try and duck the closed sign. This past friday 50+ people's passes were taken for the day after ski patrol set up a blockade halfway down the trail..

when I went to pick up my pass senor douchbag's secretary told me 50 people had lost there pass that day alone for skiing that specific "path".

^ yea. some beandip wrecked his dome on that pipe now everyone has their panties all worked together. nice chill lil run through there. im just happy they finally changed the park.
