Loon 12/13

Just got back from loon and LMP should be up by saturday. They have a ton of snow on it and have been pushing it out with 3 different groomers. looks like its gonna be a good weekend if they keep it up.
 
they shut down the mountain today...because of wind - and the rain was coming down hard- hopefully it gets colder so they can blow some more snow
 
I lost my go pro hero 2 with a handlebar mount on the 24th at loon, The chances the person that found it will actually read this and give it back to me are pretty fucking slim but I gotta try, If you happen to see it laying around send me a message!

Canadian checking in. Will be at Loon sometime in the next few days.

Not really that good (if at all), looking to progress and shred with fellow NSers!

Do have a setup I'm pretty stoked on, took a lot of working to pay for everything but I look pretty good if I must say so myself! Will be wearing purple stonewash, some gunmetal grey snowpants, black balaclava, blacked out thall receptor bug, all black poc lobes. Working at a ski store does have its perks!

Wish I could ski thursday or friday but won't be back in NE until tuesday. FUUUCCCKKKK. Anyways, let me know how them glades are boys!
 
I'll be there tomorrow. Old Oakley Blue/white tiger camo jacket and blue ldc pants on Filthy Riches or New Lifes. Hit me up, I'll be on that solo ACL recovery shred and happy to ski with anybody/show them around!
 
Ain't no glades. Lift lines are prohibative at the moment, gondola and a few other lifts closed. I'm in blue saga jacket with white ns sticker on helmet, call me out, I dare you.
 
just saw a tweet from the mountain- im headed to squaw or else id be up there- but the tweet said that the gondola, north peak, and east basin are all closed...during probably the busiest weekend of the season..after 8+ inches of snow...sounds like a nightmare- tomorrow should be sick though i envy the person who gets into black and knob first
 
Drove up and took 5 runs then left. Place was a zoo today..

The Gondi was running, but Lines were snaking down to the train station.

Fuck this week for skiing.
 
have they opened up any more of LMP yet? the last i went they had the upper rails/boxes, the barrel tap and a medium-ish jump
 
No but they have been pushing snow around the bottom pretty much everyday. Should be done fairly soon.
 
i showed up at 9 30 and was told to go home by an employee... lol it was packed

fuck that. my buddy has a condo for the 30th-2nd so ill be there dealing with lines. but what ever, staying 2 minutes from the men. cant complain

park crew posted pictures of a flat down kinda sorta near the jump in lmp. and they were digging the oakley rail in up top. i approve of these changes
 
just got back from shreddin and the new stuff is as follows:

The flat down and oakley rails are set up so that you have the option of a double jump line or the two rail features.

The flat down rail is a double barrel flat to single barrel staggered down.

The oakley rail is setup as a down.
 
the oakley rail is wicked fun and long.

Getting bad vibes from the dudes in the park though, why the hostility?
 
loon is sick right now!! a little fresh snow is needed. all that snow from xmas break got pushed in the woods by all the gapers. the middle part of the park is open and sick! dfd tube is fun as always. i always grind the top of the creeper ledge which is soooo fun! and the red bull feature is weird but its not hard to get creative on. i always boost to the second wall and slide that into the bank as a little tranny

when springboard and bottom of the park is open like next weekend loon is going to be sick.

they have done a good job thus far this year with main park.... except the top rail section... i like those 2 rails but the dumb rail in the middle ruins it and the next drop zone isnt needed. should of been just 1 big top section. the landings off the first feature are ice by 10 30 cuz everyone has to stop so quick after landing.

 
this, every couple runs you get caught up with the crowd and they just herd themselves on the knuckle below the closeout rails. So even if you would be smart enough to keep moving and not take snow off the landings, you are forced to stop before you take out a bystander.

blasting that 3rd jump as a hip is $.
 
huh.. it wasnt icy when I was there last. I could see if it were icy it would most definitely not be $. now I understand your disagreement.

but yeah, jan thaw is gonna make things interesting for sure. Im stoked to hit the new stuff on springboard that opened up today(?)
