yea man.... i heard its going to be warm this week coming up so idk about friday =/. loon wont make snow unless they know its going to be cold for a while...... i hate the new management

but i got an update off of the loon park site:

Loon opens Tuesday and we have 3 jibs over in front of the Govenors base area. Cease & Desist Ski has been moved back to Saturday 27th. Reg. starts @ noon and the event begins at 1:30. The snowboard event is still scheduled for a 3pm reg and a 5pm start.

off the snow report:

We're opening tomorrow! Our snowmaking team was able to make snow through early this morning and snowmaking will resume as soon as temps allow. We'll have intermediate & advanced terrain on the upper mountain with up- and downloading on the Gondola. Early-season ticket rates are in effect: $49 adult (19-64); $39 teen (13-18); $29 junior (6-12); 5 and under and 80+ ski free

For the guy who asked, the runaway park is on Missing Link, a glade off of grand junction. It looks sick. For anybody that is wondering, they have a few boxes set up on kank side. Kindof a weird place for it to be honest since you cant ski to it. You have to choose between skiing and hiking rails basically. Still sick though.

good news is that there 3 rails were wicked fun. and that theres a shit ton of snow being made. count on like 10 more trails by saturday. and probably a more legit set up
 
by friday they should be... they were blasting snow a trail that goes to the rails and the rails r near a lift so i imagine that they will open that lift
 
it will be really good i would think. probably a sick rail park with 5-8 jibs to hike then somewhere around 20-25 trails like 5 lifts. if it stays cold... it could even be more depending on how cold and for how long.
 
Anyone there today see if they changed stuff up for the jam/what it will be looking like tomorrow?
 
i was there today, didnt see rail set up because i was to busy lapping and trashing my new skis.

they were near the kanc quad but there were trails goin over there.

thats why i didnt go over there today. u had to walk across the parking lot then walk back.
 
Based on a video they just posted it looks like they are trying to get a few parks up in better locations. Looks like they also want to get LMP open really early this year.
 
yeah i heard they wanna have it up by this weekend, but its gunna be warm tues,weds and i think thursday but that would be soo sick sense im going this sunday!
 
thats a stretch... its gunna be warm as said above.

plus they usually open that trail with just a base and u can just ski it. for a week then by like mid dec it seems like the top of the park is open

I know when Loon has opened their shit in the past....but I have a feeling about this one

and man do i hoep so... except i wont be up this weekend. i have no money for gas and my dads isnt going up =(
 
ahh so stoked! wish i could be up there this weekend but im stuck with community service. next weekend will be better anyways
 
yea probably just 2 small rail parks like they did last year... 1 with a bunch of down/ harder rails and one with like flat box flat rail. stuff to learn new tricks on
