Looks like one of the motivational posters, like framed off in black. Bunch of snowboarders sitting down like at the top of a hill and it says "Snowboarding, its extreme". Anyone?

Close enough...

thats fucking sick and everything, much respect, but still, just because hes jumping out of a helicopter doesn't make it more 'extreme', by jumping out of a helicopter he gets to pick the best spot on top of that mountain to land, where on a cliff you gotta take what you get. pierre wins

this guy created a bombhole but was able to ride away without any help from people digging him out.

seriously some of you kids are so die hard skiers its unbelievable, you'll actually dig a picture out of no where to counter my claim that snowboarding is and can be extreme. get over yourselves.

what I was thinking. cool video for sure, and crazy too, but damn I hope they checked that before dropping in like that.

you're an idiot, i have as much respect for any snowboarder as i do for a skier, im jst pointing out the fact that gapers think its so extreme to jump out of a helicopter when really its pretty similar dropping a cliff, if a snowboarder did the cliff that pierre did i would have said the exact same thing.

so if jumping out of a helicopter is the same as jumping off a cliff. and jumping from a cliff is extreme then what is jumping from a helicopter?

time review your logic their chief.

Pwned.

I think that what he was trying to say though was that jumping out of a helicopter is, by no means, more extreme than off a cliff. Don't get me wrong though, that helicopter drop was sick.

it took longer for pierre to fall than that so

skiiers win

sorry

and snowboarders what the fuck are you doing coming onto a skiing site and saying snowboardings better

make your own damn site

lamest.argument.ever.

listen to yourselves.

dude no way thats not XTREME THIS is XTREMEEEEEEE. THIS IS SO MUCH MORE XTREME.

that helicopter drop was fucking incredible, so was pierres huck. so can you all just stop please? just this one time.

10 things i learned about skiing videos.

they always have to have a fast forward shot of you driving to the mountain as the start of the video.

ill think of the other nine later.

to be fair all the snowboarder had to do was look down and jump. think of what jamie could see when he rolled up to his cliff, nothing, to me that seems a lot more intense when you cant see where you are going.

the snowboarder didnt have to look and jump, he had to jump at the right time to end up on the right side of the mountain, and that he didnt overshoot and break his legs 1000 feet down. Also, the wind could have easily taken him and blown him off to who knows where, because he was completely unshielded from the wind on all sides

pierre knew he was going to land on the right side of the mountain, but he didnt know if he was going to get impaled by a rock or not. there would only be wind from 1-3 sides to effect the course of his drop as well.

They're two different things, each requiring different preparations, and different complications. I wouldnt judge either if you couldn't do them yourself

Dude, you're an asshole. Most, if not all, the snowboarders on this site are here for a reason. We think freeskiing is sick. And lots of our friends are skiers. We don't think one sport is better than the other. But on some aspects, one can top the other. Like...a snowboarder can lock onto a rail better than a skier. But...skiers have way more style when it comes to grabs. And many will beg to differ. It's all in opinion. So don't get your panties in a bunch, aiight?

i dont have any problems with snowboarders

i was one myself for a while

i have alot of respect for you

but some snowboarders come on here and bash skiing

and im just saying we dont want them here

stfu noob.

i think that bomb dropping is slightly harder than hitting a cliff, but the cliff was taller,so the stunts are of equal extremeness.

ahhh the glory days of ski movie 2. Makes me smile and feel like a kid again.

amzing how skiing's changed back then I thought it would impossible to get cooler than that stuff now you can see the average terrain park with higher caliber.

Respect
