Looking for subwoofers

^Dude if you payed $2500 for Alpine type-r's you are crazy. I got one 12 type r getting 600w at 2 ohms and it bumps pretty good. I payed like $115 for the sub and $200 for the amp.

and yeah they pound, such sick subs man

hardly a ripoff...

i admit if i looked harder i probably could have found equally good stuff for cheaper, but i like alpine so im not too worried about it

that is the best site i know, really helpful and it shows you what you can put in your specific car (they have all the measurments for the car... its really good).

for the car stuff at crutchfield, its the top left in the blue bar (you'll see it)

my bro has a 15 inch audioban sub (2000 watt rms) in his acura mdx, with a rocker fosgate (i think) amp that rms's at 2000 watts, but when you test it for wattage, it runs at 2300 watts. he also has component speakers and a speaker amp. He also got a dvd player/radio deck put in and its so sick. He got alot of the stuff from ebay/friends/crutchfield so it wasnt extreamly expensive. When you turn the subs up even half way, the mirrors shake an your vision goes so shakey.

i have, in a jeep wrangler, 2 10 inch infinity subs and an infinity amp. my brother put it all in so i donno too much about it, but with the hard top on its not so bad.
 
You got ripped off. My two 12" kenwoods (were 800W but were modified by the dude who i bought them from, suposedly go up to 1600W) and a two channel 2000W amp, all the wires, box and installation for like 330USD=390.50CND and mine gets about as loud as id ever want my car to be so you got jacked.
 
haha isnt that the sub thats fucking loud as hell? maybe im wrong but i heard that its louder than a 747 taking off over your head? (im not sure if this is true or even the same sub, just something i heard)
 
wrong about the jet, but it is loud (good quality too, which is why JL is the best) if you want to hear loud, get a 15" goliath...its 3200 watts RMS - 6400 peak. JL has insane quality, whether its loud or quiet.
