Hi,

i'm a beginner in freestyle. Ive been skiing for almost 12 years, and i want to learn now sth about jumping, tricks, etc. I have got about 800$ for skiis and boots (skis can be used, but boots must be new ones). I was thinking about salomon foil shoes and skis. What do you think about it ? maybe you can advice me to buy sth better (as i told im a beginner-all i can is an easy 180 on my voelkls racetigers). And what should be the height of skis (i'am 192cm tall)

yeah!!!!! wow u r tall!

ok, as a beginner u will brob want either the foil in the longest length, or the volkl karma. as for boots, if u want salomon i would reccomend somthing a little stiffer. like the x-wave 8/9/10, cause your so tall.

Dude, fuck twin tips, you got yourself a pair of RACETIGERS!

Haha.

But in all seriousness, I'd recomend possibly Karma in 185, or the AR6 in 181 or whatever. And as far as boots go, im not sure.

yeah i got racetigers cause i was racing last winter and i think they are quite good. and i have got a technica diablo flame ultrafit now (flex 80) are they really bad for freestyle or i can spend more many on skis

dude, those boots are money, stick with them if u like te way they ski already. so either foil in a 182 or the karma in a 185

My friend told me i should think about buying dalbello krypton rampage boots. What do you think about them ? Is it worth to buy it ?

what is ur weight? Do u want a soft ski or stiff ski? and for boots go to a shop and get a boot fitter to help u try on some boots. The best boots are going to be the ones that fit ur feet well and are comfortable, so don't just go for rampages cuz ur friend said theyre good....Everybodys got different feet

Well The dalbello boots are really good boots but you dont need a freestyle specific boot aslong as the boot fits you properly it not going to mater if it is a "park" boot or not. A soft flex is what your goimg to want I would stick with The technicas if they fit

what do you think about Elan MO2 Rail skis (175cm) with bindings for 499 CUSD ? Are they good ? is the height good for me ? if u can please answer fast cause i can buy them in like 40 minutes.

thanks

At your height i would go with a 180-185cm ski. It will feel much better then a short, soft park ski. You wont feel stable one soft/short sticks if you have stiff ass race skis.

way softer and they are a completly different purpose. hard to compare

foils= all-mnt toll with decnt flex, but not stiff by any means.

t-hall= soft park ski that is jib and jump specific, tho it will be fine in the pipe and some all-mnt.

i would still recomend the karma or the foil in their longest length

and stick with the tecnica boots if they still fit (or if u really want new ones :P)

definitely karmas in the longest length. racers usually like a stiff ski, even for freestyle. karmas are super stiff and a really fun ski.

good choice, you'll love them. what bindings though?

idk about $$$ but that sounds expensive, or are canadian dollars different?
