My neighbor is a carpenter who makes high end custom furniture. His sons are into longboarding and he started making his own boards. Looking for some good longboarders in or near Denver to stop by and test them out. Here are examples of a few of the boards he is making:

those look awsome, if you told him to make short boards with a tail that would be sweet.

that first one is sooo sick. as long as the trucks are straight they look perfect. ill do loveland pass after abay down. hes in denver though?

Damn, nice lookin quality. I'm more of a carbon fiber guy myself though. I like to ride something that bounces out of turns like a trampoline. So if you ever make a board that throws everyone else off it, I'd like to give it a test run.

I've given up longboarding but just figured I'd let all the longboarders who come across this thread that Berthoud Pass (side back to denver) is one of the most epic rides out there.
Buddies and I used to head up mid week around 2-3 int he morning and watch the North side (WP) for traffic, when none's coming drop and skate until the usual skier pick up....about 3.5 miles.
Real good time, challenging but not nearly as gnarly as you'd think.

Thanks for the replies. I have messed around on some of his boards. They feel great even though I admit that I'm a complete n00b. Dean (the builder's name)is messing around with different types of wood, epoxies, truck angles, and other materials. If you are looking for certain specs, he can figure it out. He is also making downhill boards. If anyone wants to stop by and test it one out, pm me. Dean and I live across the street from each other. There is a great hill in between our houses that a bunch of longboarders come to session. You can probably get up to 25 -30 mph on it.

I'll be back in August, we should get a ridiculous crew together to ride out and truly test these boards, I'd love to rip the shit out of some passes

Will do homie, what kind of wheels you guys rocking on those boards? I'm riding orangatang 4pres 86a on one board and some orangatang fatfree 86a on the other one.

Abec 11's, but he can put anything on it that you want or just sell you deck only.

Here are some moar:
