price range, 500 ish, mostly used for party pics, maybe a few skiing, going to be used mostly during the summer teaching wakeboarding, and going to bars. something with adjustable settings, and decent fps rate. thanks,

look into the canon A series cameras. I used to rock one until I bought a DSLR. The picture quality beats anything else in the same category hands down. if you have further inquiries feel free to message me.

i just got a pentax optio s6 for christmas. it's amazing for everyday stuff. it fits in an altoid tin and still has 6 megs. you can find it on the net for under $300 if you shop around.

yeah not a huge kodack fan, look for something thinner and not so toy-like.
