I’ve spent multiple seasons on both FT First Chair 10s and Dalbello Krypton 130s. My thoughts below:
Full Tilts
- Much more aggressive forward lean
- FT’s 10 tongue is softer than the Krypton’s stiffest tongue (and Kryptons can be made stiffer by inserting spine clips). Can’t comment on FT’s12 tongue but I heard it’s legit stiff.
- Narrower and lower volume than Kryptons.
Dalbello
- Much more upright stance out of the box. Forward lean can be increased but ramp is pretty flat compared to FT.
- Laterally stiffer
- Overall higher volume
- Much better heel retention (for my feet)
- Minor rant: I can’t believe Dalbello still hasn’t come out with gripwalk soles for the Krypton shell. Lupo gripwalk soles won’t work, at least FTs reg alpine soles were made of a grippier compound. Why would you add replaceable soles to the Kryptons if they’re just gonna be hard and slick?
