Looking for an Intership

Hey everyone,

As the title states, I am currently looking for an Internship for next year (09-10). I am a 3rd year Sports Management student at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. For my fourth year, I have an opportunity to take an internship for a semester (September-December or Januaray-April or May-August), with a sport related organization.

One of the benefits of this program is we are allowed to take our internship anywhere around the world. My preferences at the moment is to intern either west coast Canada or USA, Australia or New Zealand. For this internship, I am interested in working for a sporting goods

company (snow sport company would be amazing), however I am very open to working with a resort or a

professional or amateur sport organization.

What I am asking from anyone in the NS community is any possible leads on internships, previous internships that you have taken and your experience with it, and any possible direct contacts that I can get in contact with. If you don't feel comfortable posting it on this thread, and/or need more information about myself or the program, feel free to send me a PM.

i dont really kno what kind of sport management is relative to snow sports unless ur looking to become a representative for a pro athlete. so if you want that you need to hook up with a agency.. or get a hold of a professional sports team. i kno this because my major is sport management and im trying to become an agent after i finish my undergrad and after i finish law school
 
My program is not geared towards becoming an 'agent'. Sure it helps as a base to become an agent, but I'm not that interested in going to law school after I graduate, plus it is very hard to become a successful agent. My program is very business oriented and we talk a lot about the sporting industry as a whole, specifically professional sports organizations.
