Looking for an apartment/roommate

So here's the deal - I have an internship lined up with Copper Mountain starting in January going till August.

I need to find a place that has flexible leasing option - 8 months long somewhere in the Summit County area. The other kicker, it needs to be adorable puppy dog friendly... as me and my buddy Niko gotta go together.

The problem I am having, is that the properties I can find, are all 2-3 bedroom apartments that I clearly cannot afford. So if anyone is looking for a roommate/has a room available/ knows of a better option....

PS - I don't smoke or drink, but don't care if others do... Think of me as your all time designated driver, I enjoy going out but prefer to not get reckless as fuck.

This right now is my go to option - I'm not a huge fan of the commute from Leadville to Copper, but this seems like its my only affordable option for now.
 
I just got a job instructing at breck and am looking for dog friendly roomies. breck/silverthorn/dillon/frisco is probably too far for you though?

That is exactly where I am looking to live. My last resort is Leadville. Shoot me a PM if you have/know of a place that is renting
 
Care to expand on that? Keep in mind I have a budget of about $800 with utilities and have a dog. The commute time is not a concern, as I currently drive longer than that for my seasonal winter job.
 
the town is dead, it may be picking up more now since the mine is open. im not sure, haven't been there in a couple years. there's just not a whole lot going on, kinda a depressing town. you got your kids from CMC high on who knows what or drunk as shit every day. Then there's a small population of hike/bike/tele/camping hippies who are all super nice but its just them. There's hundreds or thousands of these people in summit county.

Rent is dirt cheap there, but with your budget, I think you'd be more happy in summit county.

Positive side is that it really is beautiful up there, just sorta lonely, which is fine if that's your thing.
