im 6'2 and about 170lb, intermediate to advanced skiier.

ive been searching for threads and havent found much in the ways of the specificity i am after.

i already have a ski for groomers/park/instructing, the k2 recoil. (which i am yet to mount, open to suggestions)

i am spending the season in whistler, 11th of jan, 21st of april, and am looking for a ski that will be able to perform well in trees, powder and anything else off piste.

i dont particularly want noodles, but still something that will be playful

i am really open to suggestions and currently have a list of:

on3p caylors

moment night train/bibby pro

k2 pettitor

line opus

4frnt hoji

as you can see i am really bad at narrowing down/cutting out options.

any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Bibbys or Caylors fit your description best. Just buy whichever you can get a deal on.

Since you're considering the Hoji's I assume you're not completely against the idea of a directional ski. If you're considering the Caylors, another ski from ON3P you might want to take a look at is the Billy Goat. From what I've heard the modifications have made it a bomber ski. Last season I was in a very similar situation to yourself, a season in whistler from Jan 6th through late March, and the Caylors were my ski of choice. I rode the Caylors for about 75 days last season and I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. It's a big complement to a ski, to say that, when skiing the Caylors in a variety of new snow conditions, I could concentrate less on what the skis were going to do, rather what I was going to do. It didn't feel like I was wrestling with the ski in less than ideal conditions than it was suited to either. The skis survived their 75 days ordeal, bar one core shot, but that was entirely my own fault, and I look forward to taking them over to Europe for the 12-13 season.

alright thanks guys, got good deals on both bibby pros and caylors, with the on3p's coming out $50 more, which should i take.. i feel as if they are both great skis, i just cant pick one.

Are you looking for a directional powder ski, or a more jib oriented powder ski? I only ask, because the Bibby Pro and Caylor are not really too comparable except for both being powder skis.

If you were comparing the Bibby Pro to the Billy Goat, then you'd be comparing two directional powder skis.

If you are not planning on skiing/landing switch much, my vote would be for the Billy Goat. If you are skiing/landing switch, then go for the Caylor.

This is what I was thinking, I was somewhat confused by as well since most wouldn't be considering a ski like the Caylor in the same catagory as the Hoji

I was somwhat confused by this as well,as most wouldn't consider a ski like the Hoji alongside the Caylor. It seems the vital question is how often do you ski switch and how jibby/playfulis your style
