Looking for a pair of pow pow skis.

NS, I am sitting in the Hostel at Jackson Hole pondering about why I don't have any fatties for this storm coming tomorrow. I am currently riding a pair of beat up Volkl Bridges from about 4 years ago and want something a bit more substantial. (I also chunked the fuck out of them falling off the cliffs on Puckerface.) I am 5 foot 11 inches, weigh about 180 lbs, and consider myself to be a 4 on the skier scale...or whatever the highest number is. I want a pair of skis that can hold up in the powder, rip through trees, and generally just kill the entire mountain. I don't really want twin tips, growing out of that crap. Any ideas, people? Another important thing...these have to be able to hold up to the shittiest conditions on the east coast. I'm from Massachusetts and ski in VT and NH, not exactly Jackson. I liked the look of the Hugo Harisson Pro Model from Kastle, but those are way too expensive for me. Watea 114's are sick too, but I'm afraid they would suck at home. I'm looking at around the 5-700 buck range. What are my options?

I have JJ's and i ski in Quebec and jay peak. I bought the 175cm since the 185cm was sold out. When i was in Utah they were good, little small when i land off cliff. But in he east they are perfect, so manauvabrel ( sorry for the spelling) and they are very good on groomer. If you can find some 185cm go for it, if not 175cm are nice but youll not enjoy them qs the 185cm.

you said that you dont want twintips, but it is getting harder to find flat tailed skis. more skis are being made twins.

plus you are on a freeskiing site, where everybody, besides racers and new people, rides twins

If you want something smaller take a look into the salomon shogun, 101mm, light, small rocker and not a true twin tip, they will do great as a one quiver ski on the east but not the best in the west. K2 kung fujas looks nice, i have the 09/10 and love them, great every where but not the best in deep pow. This year would be better i think, take a look at them. Maybe line prophet series or rossignol s97 . K2 sidestash looks like a good ski all around. Btw i didnt ski the last 3 cant say much. If you have more question on the JJ pm me

Neg. A nice stick but really there are far better alternatives. Pre-rocker Bacons, maybe. But a soft rockered pow ski for the east? Come on man. Fun, but far from ideal. Go

those are all very good choices if you're are looking for something smaller! But I would also look into the coreupt candide Pow if I were you, great quality/price. If you need more info on those skis, just pm me and I will be glad to help you out!

JJ's!!!! i absolutely love mine. They handle the michigan crud, and when i am out west they kill it in the powder. Get the 185's

Now that I've finally put my JJ's through all conditions I would happily recommend them. 185's are nasty.

I skied some Lib Tech NAS Pows with recurve out in Colorado this year, and they fucking slayed everything. A bit out of your price range though. Did well in fresh snow, blew through crud, and held tight on hardpack. They carved soo fucking hard.

I have some nice pretty fresh 195 Motherships I'm trying to sell. They're twins but they may as well not be. Pretty much a super fat dh race ski. 111 underfoot, they're strong as hell.

Check out liberty double helix's they are soo dope. they slay in the powder but more a stiff ski, but they also shred on groomers which is awesome to have just in case.

The Double Helix is a perfect Jackson Hole ski. It charges, but is still playful in the trees, and slays groomers too. Get it. If you can find a pair with Stealth Rocker, they are even better. It was a mid season release.
