Looking for a new coat

I'm looking for a new coat and there are just so many options. I've been to multiple local stores and don't really like the selection so I've gone online and I've been searching for awhile and I just don't know. Bloom has one Onward jacket left from last year but it is a medium and I don't know if it will fit (I'm 5'8"-5'9" 145 lb.'s). I want a tall, slim fit with a pretty rugged material and preferably all black, though I'm open to other options. I also want at least 10k/10k waterproof/breathability. I don't want a shell, though. Some insulation will be nice.+k for good help

Thanks!

Idk about the monarch but I have the anomie and it is plenty warm. I took it out in -15 F one day with nothing but a fleece underneath and I was totally fine. The anomie is also a lot cooler than the monarch imo...

Soo there is insulation? IMHO i kinda like the monarch better but whatever, do you know which fabric would be like more durable?

Idk lol no? It's warm though and nope no idea but again, the anomie is definitely good enough and then some however the zipper tab is fraying but nbd

Ok so, so far I guess I like the way the Monarch looks better and it has more durable fabric, but I still don't really know if either is insulated or not.

Well fuck, Monarch and Anomie JACKETS are also just shells. Monarch would be a better choice in terms of material and water resistance.

I can get last year's Bloom coat for the same price as the Anomie and the Bloom coat is more waterproof and breathable, though neither have insulation (At least I think Bloom doesn't). Which would be better in your opinion? Would the medium Bloom coat fit me?

monarch - more waterproof, but the material feels thinner. The thing is a extremely packable, extrememly technical, shell. Not worth full price, but I got mine for half off and its very nice. Very thin for packing, not heavy, but will keep you dry as fuck. Monarch is long and slim, and since it doenst have the mesh lining, it has a much slimmer profile.

Anomie - thicker material, and it has the mesh lining, which acts as a insulator, albeit not much. I never got wet in my anomie, but I like the monarch a bit more. just less bulky.

Never thought I would liek the Monarch as much as I do. Its just the perfect thing to put on the outside, just need to layer appropriatly. For a cold day, its a long sleeve, flannel and hoodie (im a wuss). I had it for a 35 degree day, and it was just a long sleeve.

Welll at first I thought I didn't really like the look as much, but now that I looked at their look book I realized I should have bought one of those during the president's day sale. fuck.
