alrighty, im FINALLY getting a new car (i drive a 1981 Chevy citation, and words cannot describe how crappy/unsafe/slow/ugly this car is). i have a relitively limited budget, no more than 10,000 and wouldnt mind 5-7 thousand. anyway, id really like to get a car that can comfortable seat 4 people, and 5 in a pinch. and id like to get a hatchback, cause after owning one for a few years, it really shows how usefull they are. so yeah, those are the main requirements. what id REALLY like to get is a Mazda3 5 door (a 2004 when the 06s are released) or a 2002 mazda protege 5door. any other suggestions? thanks.

and unfortunatly the mazda3s are out of my price range. and oh yeah, im looking for a good manual transmission, as the fun-to-drive factor and gas milage will be key selling points.

shit ya, thats what i got. but they arnt a hatchback. if you want a hatch look for an Audi Quattro Coupe (audi quattro). they are great and their engines will last for ever. or a vw corrado. although for vws, they are pretty crappily built and cost alot to repair. audi quattro:

there are 2 different versions of the vw corrado. one has a v6 engine, and the other has a super charged four. one will be more reliable, im assuming the super charged four bececause VW v6 engines generally suck. here is the corrado:

out of those I would choose the Audi, becuase of AWD and the fact that it is an audi and the 5 cylinder engine will last FOREVER.

get the corrado man, my best buddy just bought the G60 version, its got a supercharged 1.8 L and it rips. most come with BBS rims and low profile sport tires. its a great car if youre lookin to put a little money into it

my buddy actually has one forsale, needs a little work but if you live around ottawa lemme know

 
go with an audi, they are reliable and the awd is great for going to ski passes (especially with studed tires) you can get some for around $2500 also.

honestly that audi would be cheaper upkeep then the corrado. corrados are just about the most expensive VW for upkeep. that audi is pretty much the least expensive audi for upkeep. it is not quite as fast but it is AWD and really sick looking, i would to with the audi. just trying to tell you the options though. if you dont mind spending the money, a corrado would server you fine.

currently at 290k KM's

its still a fun fast motherfucker. get 600km out of a full tank. 2.2 4cyl 135 HP

make sure you get a 5 speed tho and not the bullshit 1.8L

they make them in hatchbacks

oh ya i paid 2k for mine
