I saw landyachtz switchblade 38 and was wondering if anyone had one would like to know the specs and how it bombs down hills

I basically am moving to a big city for college, I want to save gas and have fun so I want to get a longboard and bomb to school ns tell me whats the board

are you wanting to slide aswell?and how tall/fat/skinny are you? there is a 36'' 38" and a 40"

it has high W concave, 29 inch wheelbase and the 36 is 9.5 inches wide, 38 is 9.8 inches wide, 40 is 10 inches wide.

great for downhill and sliding.

If youre sticking to landyachtz i would get the NEWEST tomahawk. its great.

or if you want something quite similar to the switchblade i would get the 9two5 its better imo.

or even the wolfshark is good. for downhill and sliding and carving/cruising

They are. You could get 2 landyachtz decks for the price of a loaded deck. So dumb. I kinda like my tan tien but wish i had gone the landy route.

Getting an arbor vaugenhausen now

Otangs suck. Except for 80a fat frees, 80a morongas, and 80a inheats. If you actually "longboard" and was in the longboard community you would know

Yupp. Landyachtz has such a better variety of boards to choose from. Keep in mind there are other brands with great boards. The rayne amazon/piranha would also be good for you. Or the rayne fortune

I own a 2011 switchblade w/ paris 180's and Cult Classic 80a wheels. Thing rips, i love it, however I must say i would prefer to have gotten the 9two5. I find the 9two5 to be a bit more versatile with its larger standing platform. I wanted to get into dancing but because of the 9two5's shape, it was impractical to learn on the switchblade. I instead bit the bullet and bought a Loaded Bhangra and i loved it.

Tl,dr: I would say both are great boards but i would suggest the 9two5

maybe you people posting in this thread can clear something up for me?

why would anyone longboard? what is wrong with real skateboarding? I don't partake in either but it astounds me that anyone would longboard. It is on the same level if not below those kids on scooters (at least they can do tricks)

but to each his own

I'll take it from here. GET A REAL SKATEBOARD YOU POSER FUCK. EVERYONE KNOWS YOU WILL LOOK GAY RIDING A LONGBOARD PUSHING MONGO EVERYWHERE. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TROUBLE AND JUST END YOUR LIFE NOW. AND WITH A NAME/ICON LIKE THAT YOU SHOULD BE GETTING A SKATEBOARD YOU PUSSY.

You can say the same thing about skis. Why buy a twin tip ski or powder ski, when an all mountain ski would work fine? The answer is simple, its a different experience. The ride is different, the possible tricks you can do on a longboard (slides, dancing, etc) are different, its just different. They are also much more stable at high speeds.

I'm getting a long board because where I'm movig there's A. Steep Hills lets see you go 40 mph and not fall on a skateboard, B. I do skateboard just wanting some else to do, and c I want to ride it to school to save some gas money when I move out on my own. So stop cashing and your a fool your caps locks were on the whole time HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHhh

PM Jakeassbeatclap. He's got a whole collection he's about to liquidate. He's pretty protective of it though so if he says he doesn't have any/hates long boarding don't believe him and def don't give up harassing him until he gives you a sick deal on one. He doesn't even use them anymore. Happy sliding brah!

Longboarding isn't anything like skateboarding. The majority of the people utilize a long board for going down hills and doing it for the speed that comes with it.

Anyways, back to op. If you are still into finding a board for going down hills, you will most likely be interested in learning to speed check and slide (if you aren't, you should consider it).

Sector 9 is a well known company, also hated on by little kids who think they know what they're talking about. Either way, they make good boards for a good price. Check out the eyedropper for a symmetrical freeride board that will suit you well for decent downhill riding.

Landyacthz, almost all their boards will work fine.

Jet makes some really nice boards too. Some of them are rather small, but are perfect for downhill riding, city cruising (they are not very flexible, but get the job done) and are very cheap for such good quality boards.

Check out the new Bustin BGDK....looks like exactly what you are looking for....you will be able to bomb hills, but also pop over curbs when you're just cruising.

I have a vugenhausen 35 because I'm small it's really good for downhill riding because its stable. I ride 86a fat frees because I have a homie who spanced. You should for sure look at Churchill because they are awesome people and they're stuff is dirt cheap for good quality. I would get a stiffer deck but you probably know that. Also look at silverfish.com it's like the ns of long boarding

YES.im guessing you got the vugenhausen with the black graphic? (2012)

how are the gas pedals and how is it for sliding? havent got mine yet :/
