Looking at ski camp

im thinking about summer ski camp. its my first time going but i dont know where to go. ive heard about camp of champians but i want more options than that. is there anywhere else i can go

momentum or coc in whistler are both tight. High North was the bestest(imo) but its gone now:( i like momentum more though. smaller and chiller. COC is huge with a ton of kids and the tbar is shared with a bunch of people from other camps and public park and the ones up on horstman. a lot longer line

actually...coc is proportionally less crowded than the other camps. and the t-bars are usually around the same lenght of wait anyways. don't forget that the other bar had like momentum and HN and PSI and whatever else they have over there.

momentum was soooo sick. sick on and off mountain with friends, sick coaches, sick activities, and all.

but fucking expensive as fuck. all the others are too

how do you say that. COC has a ton more kids like i think they had 300 when high north had 80. also COC shares the t-bar that dave murray, coc, public park, and maybe even one more i cant remember that well plus the traffic from momentum, high north, and psi when kids came down from there which a lot of us did a couple times a day. the longest wait i had on the higher bar was maybe 20 when down at the bottom we had 20+ fairly consistently

High north was soooooo sick...gonna miss that one I'm having a hard time making my decision between COC and Momentum too.

windells i hear its so great, the camp in all like best attitude. doesn't seem like the coaching would be as good there, but it is cllose and im going. i am using my money for a ski trip and new poles....but im gonna get a job or something and go. so stoked for it

i say that because coc has around 200 kids (at the MOST) at a time. they also have an area like 4 times as big as HN (that typically had around 60-80 kids, if I'm not mistaken). So using those figures coc is proportionally less crowded as far as riding around goes. if you want to argue that I'll take you because I've been going there for the past 4 years and I know how both camps run. The only time that the lower t-bar line is somewhat busy is when the race camp beside coc goes down for the day. basically it's really hit and miss as far as both t-bars go, but they're generally pretty equal. and your "20 minute" wait is really pushing it...

you must have went to all stars. it was soo unorganized, really fun though.

(threadmaker) i would say go to momentum, sick coaching, super fun, it made for a good summer.

Go to one of the academy camps for the best coaching. Try Planet Ski International (a joint camp run by Carabasette Valley Academy and Killington Mountain School) or Freestyle America (a camp run by Waterville Valley Academy) Both camps offer freeride and moguls. These are the best camps if you really want to train and improve your skills.

windells is deffinitely the most bang for your buck when you put into account for all of the stuff they offer, momentum has a sick coach lineup though.
