Hey ns I have decided I want to get an AT set up on my 180 armada magic j's Im in the process of getting some new marker duke bindings but I am completely new to AT skiing so I don't really know what else I need. I know I need skins but I need help to know how to get it all set up and everything i need.

Thank you for you help!

I would look into first finding a lighter ski to tour with, because the heavier your gear is the shorter you'll be able to tour. If you go with a wider all mountain ski (100-110is underfoot) you'll have a lighter setup and you won't be limited to only touring on those perfect pow days.

see thats the thing i won't be touring that often but i just want to have the option of having skins

If the magic j's are anythin like my old pair of jj's (2008's I think) they are plenty light, those dukes are whats gonna weigh you down.

As far as gear you need, i guess technically just skins and you can go tour, your probably gonna want new poles with pow baskets and that are longer than park poles. And if your gonna be in avy terrain get a beacon, shovel, probe, good backpack, and some training on how to us that stuff.

get the training first. dont go out touring with no knowledge. Once you have the knowledge the beacon, probe and shovel should be your first purchases.

binding wise go for the gaurdians. feel like an sth but allow you to tour. your skis are pretty light so it wont be too bad overall.

what skins would be the best bang for my buck.

I like the black diamond skins. they have options for twins (like most brands now) but I just find the bd ones work and last a while.
