Any one have any good ideas where skiing is close and jobs are plentiful and not too hickish. After 6yrs the car audio shop i worked for decided to fuck me so im now jobless, Ive applied at many places including fast food w. no luck(very depressing) hopefully because im over qualified. Im extremely smart and handy im good at almost anything i do. I tint windows car and home and also car audio, security, remote starts. I also cooked through out HS. Im sure im capable of mounting skis or building features if some one would show me a few times. So basically im looking for a good place to live w/ nice people and skiing, some sort of job one in the skiing industry would be clutch. Im 23 extremely mature clean cut(i have a gnarly beard right now cause ive given up on life in jers) I dress nice and act like a human.

Yeh prob is idk any out west except for some big names. Just throw out some names of towns/resorts that you guys are from or would like to move there.

compared to the east coast, most places out west are going to seem hickish and have less jobs. your best bet is southern california, where you can ski bear mountain, but you will probably have to live an hour or two away.

Move to laramie wyoming. Its only like 30 mins from snowy range, def. one of the best resorts out here!!

Have you done any of your own research or know what you want more specifically? the west is a BIIIGGG place.

yeah and another idea is to go check out craigslist for jobs around mountain towns or wherever you're interested. never know what you'll come across

fo sho too many people. ive been in a lot of places for skiing/living. from poortland, govy, bend, tahoe, seattle, and the last current one is summit (which sucks) my next try will most likely be slc. seems like a nice homie ski place where people arent too fucked up

California, near Mammoth? Ever think about Canada? They don't have many people, and whistler might have some jobs open.

Bozeman MT is pretty sick and has good skiing, big sky resort, moonlight basin, and bridger bowl, pretty big city too. You could look into there.

You could try frisco. It isn't that close to skiing, but its decently close to really good skiing, and it seems like it would be a pretty chill place to live.

yea, i would say that or coeur d' Alene ID, spokane WA area, it has some good resorts, schwitzer, Mt. spokane, 49 Degrees north, silver mountain, and lookout mountain, some areas can be hick-ish but it's not bad.

Golden, BC. Its not a big city so i dont know about the whole job thing but kicking horse is a sick fuckin mountain. i went for a week in march a few years ago and we got a foot of pow every night. you'd probably be able to get some sort of a job with the resort or something

most ski resorts probably arent hiring right now as the season has started and likely

already have their staff.

but just apply to other businesses this year and try working at a resort next year

if you can get a job at louise your set. you get a seasons pass to all RCR places and sunshine. i know this cause my sisters boyfriend was the manager of the parking lot. =p

I'm thinking that the job situation is pretty standardly shitty all across the country. I just moved to Montana, and although there are no jobs, it's a sick place. Look into Bozeman or Missoula.

there are tons of sick places to go... as for the job situation, if resorts are anything like here in Canada i would say now there probably would be lots of jobs, as people who can;t handle it/don't like it often bounce half way through the season

salt lake city, denver, portland, seattle, to name a few large cities, bozeman, boulder/summit county, bend, bellingham, park city to name a few smaller cities/towns.
