When you shop for clothes dont you like having a large selection, and not having to go from store to store to store to find that large selection? Wouldnt it be easier to have a bunch of personal shoppers to offer suggestions, and examples so that you can be exposed to more options than you otherwise would. In the end it is still his decision what to purchase...he is just making a more informed decision.
