ok, so i need to know if p10 turntables can be adjusted for a smaller bsl (from 317 to 306mm). will shops do it or will need to do it my self (well not me, but my bf)? please help.. thanks!!

no you fail, they do adjust, just not a lot
it depends where the binding was set when it was mounted but generally you should be able to make that adjustmentwhen you click your boot in you will see 2 screws on the back of the heel that turn into rods that hold the heelpiece on the plate, you turn those posidrive screws and that adjusts the bindingthe forward pressure lines up when the boot is clicked in and the end of the white tab that faces the tail of the ski lines up with the 2 black plastic tabs on the plastic plate

they can adjust 10mm either way. so if they were properly mounted for a 317 your probably out of luck.

Unless your talking pivots, which I think you are since I don't remember a 10 din turntable in recent memory.

I am under the impression that you are talking about the Pivot 10's, not the FKS.

And as stated above me, they both do adjust, just not the same amount as each other.

If you have the P10 that I am thinking of, they would normally adjust down 2 shell sizes{27(5)->25(5)} easily, but it would all depend on the amount of room left on the heel track when they were originally mounted.

Hope that makes sense.

yeah difference between pivots and turntables is a big one
do they look like smooth round dildos or more squared off?if they're pivots then you just turn the wormscrew on the back and they adjust a lot

you guys are exactly right, i'm such a newb. these aren't fks bindings they are pivots... ++k for being all cool about my mistake =)

yep then on the back there's a screw that slides the heel up and down, you can turn that to adjust them to fit your boots

^ what about forward pressure? i'm guessing if i'm asking this then i shouldn't be messing with the whole binding adjusting thing... should i just go to my shop and pay the 20 - 30 bills? or is it safe and super easy to adjust p10's?

When I had those bindings, I fucked around with them alot and never had a problem.

Maybe start to adjust them with the heel not clicked in and just get it so the boot will be able to click in... Then once you click it in and it is in, move the screw another quarter turn till it is nice and tight?

I forget the forward pressure on those bindings, wish I could help though.

Nope, never had any problem.... And if anything, go to the rental department of your local hill, ask for tthe manager, and then just ask him to check it for you.
