Look/rossi bindings 08/09

The new rossi freeride bindings have a toe piece similar to the FKS. The heel peice is not turntable or pivot but is improved from the axial model. Havnt had problems yet

1. how'd you get to ride those bad boys

2. did they change the footprint of the heel? i hate how it's so big now.

3. what binding did you ride? as in, din range?

4. i like you.

They have those now. It's an old FKS toe and the heel is a stronger PX heel. The heel mounting footprint is 2cm shorter but the plastic extends back behind the screws just as far as a normal PX. They've just moved the screws forward if you know what I mean.

i still think the new heel is a big piece of shit. the one that is on the 18 din is a bit burlier than the 15. but it is still the same shit.the toes are the same as the fks has been these past few years. but can someone please tell me why the fuck made the regular px heel the one for the 15 din? bindings like that are NOT price point you cheap ass ma fuckers.

For weird reasons...

apparently (according to one of the rossi reps I know) you couldnt get the forward pressure right, and racers didnt like that or something, forcing rossi to change it's design. I think its retarded, because any FKS I have ever seen has never really had problems with forward pressure.

I know that it will come back someday though... racing is going out and with the demand for the turntable from people out here, I'm sure in like.. 2 or 3 years they will bring back something like the FKS...

Our Rossi rep couldn't think of a valid reason why they got rid of the FKS style heel, but did say that one major benefit about the PX style heel (although it is fixed) is that it has more elastic travel than 99% of consumer bindings on the market - (I personally still don't think the benefit of that outweighs the benefit of pivot/turntable..)

Word... the turntable heel is so safe, and so solid...

and so stupid of rossi to take it off the market... at least in my opinion.
