need abit of help here, im 5"11 185lbs, i cant decide between look px 15s or 18s to go on my xxl pros. i ski fast and hard i have jesters at the mo but i dont like them, i have them set to 13 and have only pre relised once or twice, but i am skiing in chamonix this year and will be skiing some pretty gnarr terrain, will the 18s just be overkill?
+k
cheers

If you are riding at a 13 DIN then 18s will be fine - 15s would work, but you don't really want to ride that close to the max DIN.

I have the px 18's not a word of complaint from me on them, Im 6'3 193 btw and ride simular things to you I had them on my Scott p4's but transfered them to my hellbents

You could, but it puts a lot of stress on the springs, even with the pivots. But, like I said, you could get away with it at 13, I'm just saying the 18 isn't necessarily overkill.

You can max out 15s if you want, that hasn't mattered in most binding made in the past few years(except stupid Marker M series and some mostly plastic bindings).

If you don't like Jesters though than I would say don't get a dildo heel binding. I too hate Jesters, and I find that Tyrolia Peaks(15s and 18s) have the best feel to me of any binding out there. My second favorite binding brand is Solly, but only the older ones(S914s, S916s, 914 Labs) and current STH 16.

I'm 6'1" and 175 for referance, and have spent a decent amount of time on every binding I mentioned in this post and a lot of others.

ah ok, i dont mind the jester heel piece (apart from my boot never sits in very well untill it is cliped in, and if i unscrew it slightly so it does, the forward pressure is off, im hoping this isnt the same on the looks).
its the toe piece i dont like, cos there is no toe hight adjustment i get abit of vertical play which is really anoying, i like the sth's to, put a pair of sth 16s on my ep pros but wanted something abit more bomber on my xxls, i think im guna go with the px 18s,
dont know why, iv never skiied on them but never been a fan on tyrolia bindings, i can also get them half price from a guy i know, is it worth looking at the peak 15s/18s then?
cheers guys, really helpfull, +k for all!

Yeah, it's worth it..but I'm trying to remember if they have a toe height adjustment or not. I'll check in a bit or I'm sure you could just search it(especially on TGR). The Peak 18s would be perfect for XXLs..
